“We hired Style my Room to complete a design for our kitchen/dining and living rooms. We had a lot of space however our rooms were badly laid out and didn't fit the needs of our family. We met with Jackie Carton and she got a feel for what we wanted to achieve within the space available and she came back with 2 great options. She did a reconfiguration of 2 rooms which was much more appropriate to our needs and a kitchen refit. We also got her to suggest an interior design for us and we were extremely happy with this. She listened to what we wanted and was very respectful of our budget. She came back with mood boards with designs for each room on them and after we took them in and made some small changes (although I would totally trust her design judgement) we were very happy with the outcome. I must say the overall results have been fantastic and we are very happy with the overall finished product. The new room configuration has really maximised the space we have and is so much more appropriate to our needs. and our growing family. The design is modern and fresh but it is very much in keeping with what we wanted. “We were incredibly lucky to have Helena Cousins of Zinc Interior Design as our interior designer when we decided to renovate and completely redecorate our home. Our house was very old-fashioned and dull. Now it is bright, contemporary and absolutely gorgeous. Helena helped with everything both outside and inside the house. She recommended colours and design of new windows and doors, colours of soffit, fascia and gutters. Inside, Helena looked after everything. Paint colours, wardrobes, floors, curtains, light fittings, bathrooms. I absolutely adore the colours in the house now. Everything matches beautifully. The reception rooms are bright and welcoming. “We used VB Design for the renovation of our period home and I couldn’t recommend her more. From choosing colours for the front of the house to designing the layout of bathrooms and the kitchen, Vyvyan was instrumental in getting our home renovation finished on time and on budget. I found the lighting design really difficult as we had a dark hallway which contrasted with our very bright dining and sitting rooms plus different height ceilings but Vyvyan expertly guided us through it and made it all seem easy. She has a very creative background and that came through when styling the rooms, giving each a very individual style and colour pallet while still all flowing together. I like many styles and colours and she worked with me to express my style but adding her flair, advice and design know how while taking the stress away from me. Would recommend highly to anyone.”
