“We hired Nick and Paul at Raylian to lead a tricky 550 m2 office conversion into residential space in a prime location central Chiswick. Along with the practice personal creative skills I was very impressed by their technical know how. The teams knowledge of building regulations, local authority planning requirements and technical building skills saved me a substantial amount in architects fees and it was comforting to experience their confidence when addressing the builders and trades and the respect they attracted. The creative design planning stage and specification for finishes and furnishings was professional and stress free. It was great to have a designer sketch their ideas while explaining their thoughts. Discussing ideas in 3D is a real advantage. Given the licence to express themselves they came up with some really great ideas. Project management was equally important, especially with all the H&S requirements attached to the industry these days. I also felt once the budget was approved they made a good effort to protect it right through to completion. “Having seen the standard of work first hand from Goodwood Fitch at a friends property, involving a major refurb', I had no hesitation in asking them to carry out contracting work at my property (albeit a much smaller affair) and on the land at end of the property. The job involved: Building a new boundary brick wall. Bespoke trellis and garden gate. Redesigning & extending a work studio. Building a decking/seating area. Their attention to detail and workmanship was first class. Lots of ongoing communication. Always punctual and always very polite. Nothing too much trouble. They offered exceptional service and have been back to the house to sort out other minor problems. “We had an extension made in 2008 and all our bathrooms were remodelled. New wires and plumbing on large parts of the house and a new heatingsystem . The previous foundations on the existing extension had to beredug ( deeper ). Earl & Calam did a highly professional job and the standard of work was very high and above all the quality. It has really 8 years later stood the test of time. Throughout the process the communication was good, when a problem arose ( as it does when doing massive buildingwork) a solution was found. The carpentry skills were to a high standard and their contacts in subcontracting other skilled professionals were good too so the plumber was great, the decorator, the specialist flooring guys. Not only did they do an amazing job with my stone floor but I had this beautiful reclaimed herring bone parquet flooring that arrived in dirty minute pieces that were later magically transformed into my beautiful polished floor. They are great with smart storage solutions. One of the bathrooms the architect had designed but the other one Earl& Calam designed for me and it is great. Would def recommend and use again”

“Tim and Zenico have managed our ground floor extension from the start of the project. Tim has attended every meeting with our architect and advised us every step of the way on pricing, functionality of the plans as well as offering invaluable insights when choosing the building firm to carry out the work. Above all the practical advice, the best aspect of having Tim on our team has been that he has taken the headache out of the build. Tim and Ray have managed all the conversations and on-site visits with the builders to ensure the project remains within budget and on time, negotiating dates and (sometimes) delays to the schedule. Communication is excellent. Tim always provides us with clear timelines of the project on a weekly (sometimes daily!) basis. Tim has also realised savings for us by using his trade knowledge when purchasing appliances. We would wholeheartedly recommend Zenico to anyone thinking of undertaking a major build project.
