This open concept remodel is the home to new Rustic Hickory kitchen cabinets from Dura Supreme Cabinetry shown in the Morel stained finish. A bar area is tucked behind a stunning weathered bar door, opening up to reveal beautiful Classic White cabinets with open shelves for decoratively displaying a collection of dishware. The seating at the peninsula of this rustic hickory kitchen gives a graceful nod towards nature. The branches in the seat mirror the other organic elements in this design and the landscape that surround this home. Rustic Hickory wood is known for its dramatic rustic appearance and color variation as well as knots, burls, mineral streaks, and pitch pockets. The color will vary from creamy white to dark brown. Located on the flat of Beacon Hill, this iconic building is rich in history and in detail. Constructed in 1828 as one of the first buildings in a series of row houses, it was in need of a major renovation to improve functionality and to restore as well as re-introduce charm.Originally designed by noted architect Asher Benjamin, the renovation was respectful of his early work. “What would Asher have done?” was a common refrain during design decision making, given today’s technology and tools. Another successful remodel! This home featured a large but dated and dysfunctional kitchen and an oddly configured master bath, which was in desperate need of a complete rework. After meeting with the homeowners to discuss their desires and needs for the space, Mireworks was able to provide them with multiple design options. Once our clients reviewed and decided on a combination of the options, a preliminary design was developed and reviewed in the 3D. Detailed plans were prepared, and work began. We could not be more pleased with the finished product!

New porcelain wood-look floors were installed in a warm medium tone throughout the home. In the kitchen, we choose two contrasting Homecrest cabinet finishes, Maple Anchor and Maple Iceberg, in the flat panel Bexley style. For the counters, luxurious quartz counters were the obvious choice. We chose Orian Blanco by Silestone for the kitchen, island and bar countertop. A stylish hexagon tile was used for the backsplash. Decorate elements of white lines in scattered tiles were subtly incorporated adding an element of fun to the space.

In this stunning kitchen, Medallion Park Place door with flat center panel in painted White Icing cabinets were installed on the perimeter. The cabinets on the island are Medallion Park Place doors with reversed raised panel in cherry wood with Onyx stain. The cabinets in the butler’s pantry were refaced with new Medallion Park Place door and drawer fronts were installed. Three seedy glass door cabinets with finished interiors were installed above the TV area and window. Corian Zodiaq Quartz in Neve color was installed on the perimeter and Bianco Mendola Granite was installed on the Island. The backsplash is Walker Zanger luxury 6th Avenue Julia mosaic collection in Fog Gloss for sink and range walls only. Moen Align Pull-Out Spray Faucet in Spot Resistant Stainless with a matching Soap Dispenser and Blanco Precis Silgranite Sink in Metallic Gray. Installed 5 Brio LED Disc Lights. Over the Island is SoCo Mini Canopy Light Fixture with 3 canopies and SoCo modern socket pendant in black. The chandelier is Rejuvenation Williamette 24” Fluted Glass with Oiled Rubbed Bronze finish.

The kitchen received a full update, including new custom cabinetry with convenient features like roll-out storage, beverage station and a hidden charging drawer. The kitchen also received luxury appliances and an Italian tile backsplash, as well as open shelving for a modern look. DalTile Remedy Elixer RD20 3X9 Italian tile with heavy glaze.
