This turn-of-the-century original Sellwood Library was transformed into an amazing Portland home for it's New York transplants. Custom woodworking and cabinetry transformed this room into a warm living space. An amazing kitchen with a rolling ladder to access high cabinets as well as a stunning 10 by 4 foot carrara marble topped island! This open living space is incredibly unique and special! The Tom Dixon Beat Light fixtures define the dining space and add a beautiful glow to the room. Altre novità per questa cucina: maniglia a ponte, disponibile in 2 finiture argento e bronzo, e una capiente e raffinata vetrina per arredare con funzionalità anche la zona giorno. This is the mood of the Baltimora kitchen which now acquires even more sophisticated features: a niche with capitals that highlights the cooking area, aided by the flap door hood, which can be combined with a sophisticated decorative strip for the upper fascia panel. For an even more impressive effect, the niche can be lined with material that matches the worktop. There are also further new features for this kitchen: bridge handle, available in two finishes, silver and bronze, and an attractive, roomy glass-fronted cupboard that provides a practical furnishing option for the living area.

This view shows new door into living room allowing access and view from kitchen that was not possible until now. New cavity door was stained to match interior French doors.

An addition inspired by a picture of a butler's pantry. A place for storage, entertaining, and relaxing. Craftsman decorating inspired by the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite. The owners and I, with a bottle of red wine, drew out the final design of the pantry in pencil on the newly drywalled walls. The cabinet maker then came over for final measurements. The kitchen design could’ve been finalised quite quickly and placed on order, however Ian wanted a little more time to determine the colours for his kitchen doors. To come to a decision Ian took home samples of the doors to see how they looked in the space and whether they worked with his flooring options. In the end he opted for Dove Grey. Ian appreciated he wasn’t pressured to order his kitchen quickly and had enough time to do more research on other kitchens, appliances and companies within the market if he chose.
