Welcome to our latest kitchen renovation project, where classic French elegance meets contemporary design in the heart of Great Falls, VA. In this transformation, we aim to create a stunning kitchen space that exudes sophistication and charm, capturing the essence of timeless French style with a modern twist. Our design centers around a harmonious blend of light gray and off-white tones, setting a serene and inviting backdrop for this kitchen makeover. These neutral hues will work in harmony to create a calming ambiance and enhance the natural light, making the kitchen feel open and welcoming. To infuse a sense of nature and add a striking focal point, we have carefully selected green cabinets. The rich green hue, reminiscent of lush gardens, brings a touch of the outdoors into the space, creating a unique and refreshing visual appeal. The cabinets will be thoughtfully placed to optimize both functionality and aesthetics. Throughout the project, our focus is on creating a seamless integration of design elements to produce a cohesive and visually stunning kitchen. The cabinetry, hood, light fixture, and other details will be meticulously crafted using high-quality materials, ensuring longevity and a timeless appeal. We transformed this space with all new IKEA cabinets stainless steel appliances, Zuhne plumbing finishes, and IKEA door hardware. The backsplash tile is a hand crafted Richard & Sterling tile which complements the Pental Misterio quartz. Sometimes its not about the pizazz but rather the simplicity of only a few colors, letting the textures and details catch your eyes.

The client's attention to detail and commitment to achieving a cohesive look in her kitchen extended to the choice of appliances. She opted for white appliances that seamlessly matched the color of her pristine cabinets, creating a harmonious, monochromatic aesthetic. The white appliances blended flawlessly with the overall design, adding to the traditional and warm ambiance she desired. The remaining stainless steel appliances were strategically placed together in one designated area of the kitchen. This careful arrangement ensured that the stainless steel elements hardly stood out as eyesores but rather became a complementary part of the overall kitchen design.

Serenity in the Kitchen. When working with an open floor plan, it’s essential to tie in these spaces with the rest of the Home. The custom metal hood becomes the star of the show, and you can be sure that each time a visitor arrives, our homeowners are offering up home made cappuccinos from their built-in Miele coffee bar. With two dishwashers and two sinks, we have created "zones" in which to work in for prep work, cleaning, cooking and storage alike. Thermador Refrigerator and Freezer columns create a tall wall for the space and accentuate the high ceilings. The white custom shaker cabinets gave us the perfect tone to match the crown molding for the rest of the home. Soft and sophisticated bar stools play nicely against the stone countertops and Alder Wood island.

This kitchen is open to the neighboring family room. The table and chairs were the Client's from her last house, with reupholstered seat cushions. The floral pattern is cut from the same fabric, but no two chairs are exactly alike. A crystal chandelier in a kitchen works well with simple, contemporary pendant fixtures. The window treatment is made from fabric embroidered with stripes. We turned the fabric and cut it to look like one custom embroidered valance - very little (expensive fabric) elevates the space and looks very high end!

We took this typical builder grade kitchen from dark and dreary to bright and charming! With traditional details, the custom feel comes out through the furniture based built-in hutch, the in-cabinet lighting, and the hand cut mullions and corbels. The beautiful gold hardware and marble backsplash bring richness and warmth into the space while bringing it back up to date. Designer: Susan DeRidder of Live Well Interiors Inc.

Inspired by a bespoke English design. Kitchen elements are: Light grey/cream cabinetry (Classic Grey- Benjamin Moore), carrara marble countertops (Thin- 2cm), a large window behind the sink (Swing out), floor to ceiling cabinetry with integrated appliances (Fridge and dishwasher), brass hardware (Vintage style with latch feature), and a large range/cooking area.
