Scandinavian/modern kitchen remodel. Cabinets are a shaker style with a unique Moonshine colour from Benjamin Moore. Brand new stainless steel appliances. Large single basin undermount sink in kitchen island. Countertops are white quartzite. Brand new western oak flooring throughout.

Oklahoma City Kitchen featuring White shaker cabinets, white quartz countertops, wood floors, and Tudor architecture. White on white makes this a great little kitchen in the heart of Gatewood Historic Neighborhood. After a portion of the wall was removed between the kitchen and the breakfast room, the new kitchen became an integral part of the house. A kitchen once lacking storage, valuable counter space, and updated design now has more functional storage/ space and an updated, bright and airy feel.

Completed in 2015, this project incorporates a Scandinavian vibe to enhance the modern architecture and farmhouse details. The vision was to create a balanced and consistent design to reflect clean lines and subtle rustic details, which creates a calm sanctuary. The whole home is not based on a design aesthetic, but rather how someone wants to feel in a space, specifically the feeling of being cozy, calm, and clean. This home is an interpretation of modern design without focusing on one specific genre; it boasts a midcentury master bedroom, stark and minimal bathrooms, an office that doubles as a music den, and modern open concept on the first floor. This single family home had been recently flipped with builder-grade materials. We touched each and every room of the house to give it a custom designer touch, thoughtfully marrying our soft minimalist design aesthetic with the graphic designer homeowner’s own design sensibilities. One of the most notable transformations in the home was opening up the galley kitchen to create an open concept great room with large skylight to give the illusion of a larger communal space.

Minimalist Moline, Illinois kitchen design from Village Home Stores for Hazelwood Homes. Skinny Shaker style cabinetry from Dura Supreme and Koch in a combination of painted black and Rift Cut Oak Natural finishes. COREtec luxury plank floating floors and lighting by Hudson Valley’s Midcentury Modern Mitzi line also featured.

For this black and white Scandinavian style kitchen we wanted to make a bold statement by using matte black for majority of the kitchen cabinets. The large 42" wide range hood was custom designed and crafted by us and lacquered the same colour as the upper cabinets. The 6x8 subway tile and pure white quartz create the horizon. We decided on black soapstone countertop for the island for a more subtle but amazing feature. The natural oak floor brings in the warmth and to finish it off we used these large dome pendants for the wow factor and bronze hardware to give it some bling.

Within this amazing accessory dwelling unit, we find a full "L-Shaped" Kitchenette with gray, shaker styled cabinets, a white granite counter top, matched with stainless steel fixtures and appliances for an outstanding finish to the kitchen area.

This kitchen is strikingly bright and airy with white cabinetry, a white island, and white stools, while maintaining its warmth with the gentle, medium stains on the wood floor and countertop, and bronze hardware. It is perfectly designed for day-to-day functionality with ample counter space, and a spacious, integrated dining area for 5, while being ready to entertain at a moment’s notice, with a built-in TV & fireplace, double-ovens, and a deep farmhouse sink. Cabinetry fitted with glass-insert cabinet doors and a significant amount of storage space complete this versatile and stunning environment – but the secret, hidden charm of this space? A two-sided fireplace that opens up into both the kitchen and the living room, beautifully connecting the two areas with fluid design. PC: Fred Huntsberger
