This full home mid-century remodel project is in an affluent community perched on the hills known for its spectacular views of Los Angeles. Our retired clients were returning to sunny Los Angeles from South Carolina. Amidst the pandemic, they embarked on a two-year-long remodel with us - a heartfelt journey to transform their residence into a personalized sanctuary. Opting for a crisp white interior, we provided the perfect canvas to showcase the couple's legacy art pieces throughout the home. Carefully curating furnishings that complemented rather than competed with their remarkable collection. It's minimalistic and inviting. We created a space where every element resonated with their story, infusing warmth and character into their newly revitalized soulful home.

In this guest cloakroom, luxury and bold design choices speak volumes. The walls are clad in an opulent wallpaper adorned with golden palm motifs set against a deep, matte black background, creating a rich and exotic tapestry. The sleek lines of a contemporary basin cabinet in a contrasting charcoal hue anchor the space, boasting clean, modern functionality. Above, a copper-toned round mirror reflects the intricate details and adds a touch of warmth, complementing the coolness of the dark tones. The herringbone-patterned flooring in dark slate provides a grounding element, its texture and color harmonizing with the room's overall decadence. A built-in bench with a plush cushion offers a practical seating solution, its fabric echoing the room's geometric and sophisticated style. This cloakroom is a statement in confident interior styling, transforming a utilitarian space into a conversation piece.

A small corridor connects the guest toilet with the entrance hallways. This corridor includes a cupboard which hosts the dryer and washing machine. The use of dark but strong colour emphasizes the colourful guest toilet feature wall with the use of bright pink colours.

The walls were adorned with exquisite tiles from Mandarin stone whilst the floor contrasts beautifully with Ca Pietra Memphis Star tiles.

This incredible Homes By Us showhome is a classic beauty. The large oak kitchen boasts a waterfall island, and a beautiful hoodfan with custom quartz backsplash and ledge. The living room has a sense of grandeur with high ceilings and an oak panelled fireplace. A black and glass screen detail give the office a sense of separation while still being part of the open concept. The stair handrail seems simple, but was a custom design with turned tapered spindles to give an organic softness to the home. The bedrooms are all unique. The girls room is especially fun with the “lets go girls!” sign, and has an eclectic fun styling throughout. The cozy and dramatic theatre room in the basement is a great place for any family to watch a movie. A central space for entertaining at the basement bar makes this basement an entertaining dream. There is a room for everyone in this home, and we love the overall aesthetic! We definitely have home envy with this project!

A bold wallpaper was chosen for impact in this downstairs cloakroom, with Downpipe (Farrow and Ball) ceiling and panel behind the toilet, with the sink unit in a matching dark shade. The toilet and sink unit are wall mounted to increase the feeling of space.

The Major is proof that working on smaller projects requires the same amount of attention to detail, customization, curating materials to create impact and allow the space to make statement. Powder Rooms are considered a statement in every home and designing small spaces is both a pleasure and a passion. This small room has the perfect balance between the cool polished marble and the raffia textured wallpaper, with accents of metal highlighted by the brass fixtures and decorative elements.

The WC was relocated under the stairs where space was maximised with a Barbican sink and wall mounted toilet. Victorian floor tiles work well with a bold black and white wallpaper.
