Our client wanted to merge their kitchen and utility spaces into one seamless open-plan area. The goal was to create a modern shaker kitchen that exudes sophistication and complements the beautiful natural surroundings of their Downs location. Emphasising a bright and airy atmosphere was a top priority, reflecting the spaciousness of the outdoor environment. For this project, we selected the Nolte Torino Lac in Sahara, beautifully accented with Tavloa Oak Pinot. The Manganese Bronze handles add a subtle yet striking detail to the overall design, complementing the neutral tones of the kitchen. To achieve the desired contrast and eye-catching appeal, we opted for the Sense Glacial Blue worksurface. Its stunning blend of aesthetics and functionality perfectly matches the modern shaker style. The 30mm thickness, along with an 80mm fully clad breakfast bar & 100mm upstands, provides a seamless and stylish finish. When it comes to appliances, we won’t settle for anything but the best. Throughout the space, we've incorporated high-quality Miele and Siemens appliances. These trusted brands ensure top-notch performance, durability and innovative features to enhance the overall cooking and kitchen experience. Our clients expressed the desire for a social hub within their kitchen space, with the peninsula becoming the perfect solution. With its functional design and seating options, the peninsula encourages lively conversations and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere for family and guests. Exhibiting characteristics of a modern design, this kitchen is stylish. In general modern designs are adept to minimalism and the general idea is that less is more. It also embraces the extreme accuracy and simplicity. The bright and white background enhances its geometric shapes with clean and sleek lines and surfaces. From the black appliances, to monochromatic furnishings, light and simple tiles to large windows welcoming daylight. Even the decorations are as minimal as possible. Ultra-modern appliances are the usual go to in minimalist designs, however, the customer chose a gas cook-top. But the rest of the appliances are all modern and built in. For instance, the almost invisible ceiling extractor. The cabinets’ fronts are in gloss finish, which reflects the geometric and sleek lines. The option of handle-less minimises the visual information. The cabinetry is also taken to the ceiling for a cleaner environment. The modern worktop with marble veins matches the floor and creates a clean design. The choice of quartz counter-top is durable, easy maintain and is stunning. The almost monochromatic design, creates a clean and uncluttered kitchen. The dark grey, brings presence to the kitchen and is a timeless colour choice, while the high gloss colour increases its impact. In this case, the kitchen is in a large open space and the dark grey makes it dominate the space. For modern designs, the goal is functionality above aesthetics, so usually lighting and decorations are kept to a minimum and as sleek as possible. The customer, in this case, opted for ceiling lights and no drop downs.

A unique and innovative design, combining the requirements of regular entertainers with busy family lives looking for style and drama in what was a compact space. The redesigned kitchen has space for sit-down meals, work zones for laptops on the large table, and encourages an open atmosphere allowing of lively conversation during food prep, meal times or when friends drop by. The new concept creates space by not only opening up the initial floor plan, but through the creative use of a two-tiered island benchtop, a stylish solution that further sets this kitchen apart. The upper work bench is crafted from Quantum Quartz Gris Fuma stone, utilizing man made stone’s practicality and durability, while the lower custom designed timber table showcases the beauty of Natural Calacatta Honed Marble.
