This dated 80's home needed a major makeover inside and out. For the most part, the home’s footprint and layout stayed the same, but details and finishes were updated throughout and a few structural things - such as expanding a bathroom by taking space from a spare bedroom closet - were done to make the house more functional for our client. The exterior was painted a bold modern dark charcoal with a bright orange door. Carpeting was removed for new wood floor installation, brick was painted, new wood mantle stained to match the floors and simplified door trims. The kitchen was completed demoed and renovated with sleek cabinetry and larger windows. Custom fabricated steel railings make a serious statement in the entryway, updating the overall style of the house.

All this classic home needed was some new life and love poured into it. The client's had a very modern style and were drawn to Restoration Hardware inspirations. The palette we stuck to in this space incorporated easy neutrals, mixtures of brass, and black accents. We freshened up the original hardwood flooring throughout with a natural matte stain, added wainscoting to enhance the integrity of the home, and brightened the space with white paint making the rooms feel more expansive than reality.

It’s been said that they don’t make them like they used to. If you have been floor shopping for any length of time now, you know this is often especially true with hardwood flooring. Most modern milling companies utilize only certain parts of the log so they can be sure that the hardwood that will sit on the shelf of one store will look identical to that sitting at another. But there was a time when milling had a simple goal: turn a log into planks, and use as much of the log as possible.

Installed May 2022 in Fairless Hill, PA. Custom built-in cabinets surrounding fireplace with bookshelves made of maple wood, with black contrasting counter top and above fireplace shelf. Wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling in white finish. Featuring crown molding, soft closing doors with Blum hardware.

The existing fireplace received a new granite hearth and mantle. In addition, the room was transformed by adding ample cabinetry, making the entertainment center much more attractive and useful. Well-designed lighting makes the room more attractive, as well as more useful for the residents to display their art collection.

This family room needed an update to match the newly renovated outdoor living space. We maximized for family-friendly comfort and high style.
