The Team at McKay Custom Cabinets did an amazing job on our custom cabinets in our newly renovated townhome. They worked closely with my wife throughout the whole lifecycle of the process including conceptual design, onsite visits at the plant and my house before anything was built. They work towards a deadline and any refinements that were necessary. Our requirements evolved a bit and they were able to accommodate them and stay on time and budget. They maintained a positive and collaborative demeanor from start to finish. I would absolutely work with them again.

Absolutely love the work completed. I had a unique request of 2 custom closets split by a desk over a radiator. Dave listened to my every request and created exactly what I wanted, couldn’t be more satisfied with the outcome!

It is an absolute pleasure working with David Mckay, whose cabinetry now graces two rooms in our house. The first project, involving the installation of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, was comparatively straightforward, but the second called for a combination of cupboards, standard drawers, file drawers, bookshelves, counter space, and a window seat. David rose to this challenge with his customary creativity and care, exceeding our expectations, which were already high. Most of the work is done offsite, minimizing disruptions, and on the day of installation, everything proceeded with quiet efficiency. We could not be happier!

After months of dealing with unreliable contractors and outrageous quotes, I found David who is truly a treasure. I showed him the empty space and told him how I want to use it. He listened, measured, designed, built, and delivered with no hassle. He was responsive, patient and the craftsmanship blew my mind away. He paid attention to every detail - from custom making the perfectly matched crown molding at the bottom of the desk into the wall crown molding (flush and clean) to wire management, convenience features, lighting and any other details you don't think of as a customer until you own the piece. We will be using him again. I absolutely recommend him. You cannot find too many contractors like David.

I had the pleasure of working with Dave McKay again on recent project from a fire loss. It was a difficult job as we were dealing with with many unforeseen obstacles and limitations. We also had a tight budget to stay within. Dave met with all the demands and was able to give the homeowner options to stay within their budget. Dave installed a gorgeous kitchen, as promised, on time. They are so pleased, they will be having Dave back for a couple more projects. I look forward to working with Dave again in the future.

Amazing craftsman! He turned an empty space in my office into a highly functional workspace. His attention to detail is phenomenal. The office is located in a busy part of center city, but Dave was able to get the job done in an area where many others are scared to work (due to traffic, elevators, etc). I can't recommend him more highly. I will be using him for another project as soon as he is available. Thanks David!

Dave McKay is a highly competent and careful craftsman. He is reliable, reasonably priced and very easy to work with. Recently (this year) he made us a pedestal for a sculpture, at no cost!

I am a contractor who needed someone to custom build cabinets for my various clients. David was able to build and install quality cabinites at a cost that met my clients needs. David and his crew was easy to work with and adjusted to my work schedule.
