The Goody Nook, named by the owners in honor of one of their Great Grandmother's and Great Aunts after their bake shop they ran in Ohio to sell baked goods, thought it fitting since this space is a place to enjoy all things that bring them joy and happiness. This studio, which functions as an art studio, workout space, and hangout spot, also doubles as an entertaining hub. Used daily, the large table is usually covered in art supplies, but can also function as a place for sweets, treats, and horderves for any event, in tandem with the kitchenette adorned with a bright green countertop. An intimate sitting area with 2 lounge chairs face an inviting ribbon fireplace and TV, also doubles as space for them to workout in. The powder room, with matching green counters, is lined with a bright, fun wallpaper, that you can see all the way from the pool, and really plays into the fun art feel of the space. With a bright multi colored rug and lime green stools, the space is finished with a custom neon sign adorning the namesake of the space, "The Goody Nook”.

On the rear of the plan is an extravagant covered patio area that wraps around the corner of the dining room.

A modern home designed with traditional forms. The main body of the house boasts 12' main floor ceilings opening into a 2 story family room and stair tower surrounded in glass panels. A terrace off the main level provide additional space for a walk out level with game rooms, bars, recreation space and a large office. Unigue detailing includes Dekton paneling at the stair tower and steel C-beams as headers above the windows.

With a desire for a modern entertaining home, an open concept design corresponded with the homeowners’ ideas and wishes. This project was a full interior and exterior renovation, aiming for a modern west coast appeal. To create a second master suite, we removed the partition walls separating 3 small bedrooms on the top floor. Strategic lighting plans in the main floor areas and the installation of tile flooring and dark stained wood gives the home a refined look. The Birchwood's custom design was driven by clean lines and embracing the assets of the site. Large, sweeping overhangs of the hipped roof and ledge stone masonry update the traditional prairie style. The clean lines and details of the exterior are brought throughout the home's interior.
