The large open space continues the themes set out in the Living and Dining areas with a similar palette of darker surfaces and finishes, chosen to create an effect that is highly evocative of past centuries, linking new and old with a poetic approach. The dark grey concrete floor is a paired with traditional but luxurious Tadelakt Moroccan plaster, chose for its uneven and natural texture as well as beautiful earthy hues. The supporting structure is exposed and painted in a deep red hue to suggest the different functional areas and create a unique interior which is then reflected on the exterior of the extension.

Our Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom. The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space. In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. 白を基調としたオープンなキッチン。天板は耐久性が高く質感も美しいDEKTONを採用、家具部の面材も天板の色味に合わせたことで高級感ある仕上がりとなりました。キッチン背面には造作家具による食器棚を設置。内装に合わせ、ホワイトオークで仕上げました。背面壁には石目のタイルを貼り、ハイサイドからの照明で照らしています。
