This Mid Century inspired kitchen was manufactured for a couple who definitely didn't want a traditional 'new' fitted kitchen as part of their extension to a 1930's house in a desirable Manchester suburb. The key themes that were important to the clients for this project were: Nostalgia- fond memories how a grandmother's kitchen used to feel and furniture and soft furnishings the couple had owned or liked over the years, even Culshaw's own Hivehaus kitchenette that the couple had fallen for on a visit to our showroom a few years ago. Mix and match - creating something that had a very mixed media approach with the warm and harmonius use of solid wood, painted surfaces in varied colours, metal, glass, stone, ceramic and formica. Flow - The couple thought very carefully about the building project as a whole but particularly the kitchen. They wanted an adaptable space that suited how they wanted to live, a social space close to kitchen and garden, a place to watch movies, partitions which could close off spaces if necessary. Practicality: A place for everything in the kitchen, a sense of order compared to the chaos that was their old kitchen (which lived where the utility now proudly stands). Being a bespoke kitchen manufacturer we listened, drew, modelled, visualised, handcrafted and fitted a beautiful kitchen that is truly a reflection of the couple's tastes and aspirations of how they wanted to live - now that is design! Extensions and remodelling of a north London house transformed this family home. A new dormer extension for home working and at ground floor a small kitchen extension which transformed the back of the house, replacing a cramped kitchen dining room with poor connections to the garden to create a large open space for entertaining, cooking, and family life with daylight and views in all directions; to the living rooms, new mini courtyard and garden.

This kitchen started by removing a wall to open up a light and airy space for entertaining. Lacquer cabinets imported from Italy frame the room in clean lines and provide ample storage to kill clutter. The island sports a stainless steel top with an integrated sink and sprayer faucet. Soft pine floors are original to the house and bring century old warmth and character into the present day. Diana Wiesner of Lampert Lumber in Chetek, WI worked with her client and Dura Supreme to create this custom teal blue paint color for their new kitchen. They wanted a contemporary cottage styled kitchen with blue cabinets to contrast their love of blue, red, and yellow. The homeowners can now come home to a stunning teal (aqua) blue kitchen that grabs center stage in this contemporary home with cottage details. Bria Cabinetry by Dura Supreme with an affordable Personal Paint Match finish to "Calypso" SW 6950 in the Craftsman Beaded Panel door style. This kitchen was featured in HGTV Magazine summer of 2014 in the Kitchen Chronicles. Here's a quote from the designer's interview that was featured in the issue. "Every time you enter this kitchen, it's like walking into a Caribbean vacation. It's upbeat and tropical, and it can be paired with equally vivid reds and greens. I was worried the homeowners might get blue fatigue, and it's definitely a gutsy choice for a rural Wisconsin home. Creating access to a new outdoor balcony, architect Mary Cerrone replaced the window with a full-pane glass door. The challenge of a narrow thoroughfare was overcome by implementing a sliding screen, which when opened slides into a pocket behind the refrigerator. By placing a focal point of bright color in the doorway, the room gains a feeling of greater depth, while the dying process of the wood mirrors that of the cabinetry. La demande des propriétaires était de séparer le WC de la salle d'eau et de créer de nombreux rangements tout en souhaitant un nouvel agencement pour gagner de l'espace et de la fluidité dans l'appartement. La rénovation a été faite du sol au plafond. Les cloisons de la salle d'eau ont été suprimées et récréées avec un espace WC séparé. La cuisine, élément principale de la pièce, est regroupée sur un mur avec ses rangements. Pas de poignées visibles pour garder la ligne des meubles. L'appartement contient 5 couchages dont un pliable glissé sous les lits superposés. Tout l'espace est optimisé jusqu'au lit de la chambre parentale qui contient un coffre. Ne souhaitant pas installer la climatisation, les propriétaires ont choisi le placement de ventilateurs au plafond.

Una mini casetta su due livelli, nascosta all’interno in un giardino dal sapore antico, ridondante di alberi di agrumi e piante mediterranee, accessibile attraverso un viale realizzato con frammenti, più o meno casuali, di piastrelle di risulta e riciclo. Luoghi con le loro preesistenze che raccontano una storia di famiglia con la quale il progetto vuole dialogare in maniera contemporanea, utilizzando tale linguaggio stilistico ereditato come ispirazione per il nuovo restyling. Audaci contrasti ed abbinamenti definiscono coraggiosamente il design degli spazi dalle ridotte dimensioni.
