The Culshaw brand embodies the work of craftsman Michael Culshaw and his skilled team. Together they have been creating beautiful handmade kitchens, kitchenettes and boot rooms for over 22 years. We specialise in designing and producing tailor made kitchens and kitchenettes using traditional cabinet making techniques. All our bespoke kitchens are made using the finest materials by our highly skilled team of cabinet makers and craftsmen here in rural Lancashire. Servicing London and the North West of England, Culshaw continually produce stunning kitchens tailored to each individual client’s specific needs. In particular, we specialise in concealed kitchens, using the same approach to the kitchenettes as to our bespoke kitchens. Age old cabinet making techniques and the finest materials combined with our highly skilled team of cabinet makers and craftsmen ensure the best quality in design and finish to all our individually made kitchenettes. Our range of Kitchenettes are specially designed to suit small space living. These kitchenettes have been used in many applications and areas. From annexes to granny flats, hotels to holiday homes even installed in shepherd huts, the kitchenettes are designed to offer a full kitchen within a small foot print and can be shipped anywhere in the UK or Abroad.

From as early as the initial consultation we knew we would be able to work with Michael Culshaw on our kitchen project. His creative ideas and design, the time he spent discussing our needs with no pressure and showing us the workshop where everything is made gave us confidence that we would be getting a truly bespoke product. His advice when selecting appliances was invaluable and work commenced on the agreed date. As with any building work there can be unplanned hitches but the Culshaw team had the experience to find a solution. Their tradespeople are personable, clean and tidy and highly competent (joiner, electrician, plumber, painters). A special thanks must also go to David who professionally managed the whole project to completion. It has been 3 months since installation and we not only have a great practical working kitchen but a beautiful one - we love it, thank you!

We ordered the Fearnley petite kitchenette to fit in a basement conversion for a town house-style terrace. The Culshaw team were happy to adapt the height for the lower ceiling height and answered all of our queries and questions. The Fearnley arrived on the day scheduled and the driver helped us get it into the basement. It is the most wonderfully crafted item of furniture we have! Beautifully finished and it looks fantastic. Everyone that has seen it - has been totally blown away! It is a functional and yet beautiful feature item in the room. I wholeheartedly recommend the company and the Fearnley petite.

a very low pressure initial discussion and plenty of time and advice regarding the details. short construction time and accurate prediction of start date. very high quality construction and expert fitting with great attention to detail. painting was also very high quality. six months later I still haven't found any flaws or failings.

Paul Fry

We had a bespoke Hivehaus Grand Kitchenette made by Culshaw for a new domestic annexe. Adaptations included a Quooker Combi tap and tank and a multi-function oven. The cost of these adaptations was very reasonable . The unit arrived on time and the finish (Farrow and Ball paint and Formica worktop) was to a very high standard. As the annexe is a new build all our plumbing and electrical work was in exactly the right spot for the kitchenette. Our main contractor's carpenter assembled the individual sections without any difficulty though the solid wood meant that some steps definitely require 2 people. All the professionals working on our project plus subsequent visitors have been really impressed with the design, the high quality materials and the finish.

I am delighted with my bespoke, beautiful Culshaw kitchen made by and painted by, skilled craftsmen. All the team at Culshaw Kitchen Makers are personable, helpful and professional. Before installation I was given a timetable which was adhered to. I paid the original quoted price with no additions. Importantly, I was listened to by Michael Culshaw and communication was made easy. All who visit my home comment on my Mourchon Kitchen with its quirky, concave cabinets and attention to detail. The whole process was a pleasurable experience. (The kitchen still needs to be tiled etc. by others but will be happy to supply photos, at a later date, if required.)

The Culshaw kitchen company are great. I ordered the pitite Fearnley kitchenette for a garage conversion with an added garden room. The kitchenette arrived it is beautifully made and is perfect for my space. I am absolutely delighted Michael was very professional and helpfully with my order and answered all my quires promptly. A lovely company to deal with and I would highly recommend them.

Absolutely gorgeous product where space does not allow for a full kitchen, beautifully designed and manufactured and so practical. Was able to visit showroom and workshop to discuss project and view example. The option to choose any colour for finish to fit in perfectly with your colour scheme, not from a preselected list, is a great plus. Although I had a carpenter available to assemble the kitchenette, the instructions that come with it, together with the video on the company website are very clear. Lovely company to deal with, friendly and helpful, delighted with my kitchenette.

Culshaw provided me with a bespoke compact kitchen. It is beautifully made. I encountered a couple of installation issues with the equipment which I wanted and they were very helpful resolving the technicalities of this. They were courteous, knowledgable and enthusiastic. I have had a lot of compliments about the kitchen-within-a cupboard from visitors. It did take a little time for the kitchen to be built because it was made to order, but it was worth the wait. They delivered on time and at the cost quoted. It is a handsome, practical piece of furniture and I am delighted with it. I found no other company who make a similar product.

Thanks for your review. Yes you are right, our kitchenettes are protected by patents so you own a truly unique product which we have spent many years developing. The lead time you experienced was due to the bespoke nature in which we work. We never carry a stock of kitchenettes as we find clients like to spec their kitchenettes themselves. This approach allows us to configure the kitchenette to a clients needs in terms of appliances and colour and sometimes even dimensions. I hope it's continuing to please you and your guests!
