Cet appartement de 100m² acheté dans son jus avait besoin d’être rénové dans son intégralité pour repenser les volumes et lui apporter du cachet tout en le mettant au goût de notre client évidemment. Tout en conservant les volumes existants, nous avons optimisé l’espace pour chaque fonction. Dans la pièce maîtresse, notre menuisier a réalisé un grand module aux panneaux coulissants avec des tasseaux en chêne fumé pour ajouter du relief. Multifonction, il intègre en plus une cheminée électrique et permet de dissimuler l’écran plasma ! En rappel, et pour apporter de la verticalité à cette grande pièce, les claustras délimitent chaque espace tout en laissant passer la lumière naturelle. L’entrée et le séjour mènent au coin cuisine, séparé discrètement par un claustra. Le coloris gris canon de fusil des façades @bocklip laquées mat apporte de la profondeur à cet espace et offre un rendu chic et moderne. La crédence en miroir reflète la lumière provenant du grand balcon et le plan de travail en quartz contraste avec les autres éléments. A l’étage, différents espaces de rangement ont été ajoutés : un premier aménagé sous les combles avec portes miroir pour apporter de la lumière à la pièce et dans la chambre principale, un dressing personnalisé.

The kitchen has shades of dark grey, charcoal for its countertops, kithchen island, and cabinets. The charcoal glass backsplash completes the dark look. Equipments, devices and food products are ingeniously hidden behind the charcoal lacquered panels. All the appliances are integrated and the fridge is panel-ready. This gorgeous European Poggenpohl Kitchen is the culinary center of this new modern home for a young urban family. The homeowners had an extensive list of objectives for their new kitchen. It needed to accommodate formal and non-formal entertaining of guests and family, intentional storage for a variety of items with specific requirements, and use durable and easy to maintain products while achieving a sleek contemporary look that would be a stage and backdrop for their glorious artwork collection. Solution: A large central island acts as a gathering place within the great room space. The tall cabinetry items such as the ovens and refrigeration are grouped on the wall to keep the rest of the kitchen very light and open. Luxury Poggenpohl cabinetry and Caesarstone countertops were selected for their supreme durability and easy maintenance. Warm European oak flooring is contrasted by the gray textured Poggenpohl cabinetry flattered by full width linear Poggenphol hardware. The tall aluminum toe kick on the island is lit from underneath to give it a light and airy luxurious feeling. To further accent the illuminated toe, the surface to the left of the range top is fully suspended 18” above the finished floor. A large amount of steel and engineering work was needed to achieve the floating of the large Poggenpohl cabinet at the end of the peninsula. Green Hammer worked with the client and real estate agent to find a home to renovate to their goals and budget. This 1930’s Alameda house had a robust structure, but the interior was a series of compromised disjointed remodel projects. The clients wanted a contemporary design that could blend with the historic neighborhood. In addition to creating an elegant contemporary design, we air-sealed, added deep insulation, and integrated heat recovery ventilation to reduce energy consumption by 80%. Bookmatched kitchen countertop made from Douglas fir slabs reclaimed from Tualatin. Dining room table compliments countertop with live edge bookmatched design from the same Douglas fir tree. An existing 70’s brick home nestled streets away from the beach, is in dire need of a transformation. The existing home had the bones to accommodate a substantial renovation, some modifications to the layout, adding an extension and exaggerating the existing raked ceilings in the main living area impacts the new home. The home itself is a relatively disjointed 70’s home, so cleaver planning was imperative to make the most of the interior space. Large open plan living areas with adjoining outdoor entertaining was important. The owners are a young family who enjoy family and entertaining so interaction with the outdoor alfresco was essential not only for quality of living but to appear as a continuation of the main living area to increase the zone visually. My client’s fresh approach; introduction of modern materials with a hint of Scandinavian and industrial, an improved working area and a functional space for cooking and preparing meals.

For our client, who had previous experience working with architects, we enlarged, completely gutted and remodeled this Twin Peaks diamond in the rough. The top floor had a rear-sloping ceiling that cut off the amazing view, so our first task was to raise the roof so the great room had a uniformly high ceiling. Clerestory windows bring in light from all directions. In addition, we removed walls, combined rooms, and installed floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall sliding doors in sleek black aluminum at each floor to create generous rooms with expansive views. At the basement, we created a full-floor art studio flooded with light and with an en-suite bathroom for the artist-owner. New exterior decks, stairs and glass railings create outdoor living opportunities at three of the four levels. We designed modern open-riser stairs with glass railings to replace the existing cramped interior stairs. The kitchen features a 16 foot long island which also functions as a dining table. We designed a custom wall-to-wall bookcase in the family room as well as three sleek tiled fireplaces with integrated bookcases. The bathrooms are entirely new and feature floating vanities and a modern freestanding tub in the master. Clean detailing and luxurious, contemporary finishes complete the look.
