This kitchen showcases a harmonious blend of contemporary design and classic architecture. The room is well-lit, with natural light streaming in from a large window on the left. The ceiling features intricate crown molding, indicative of the building's Grade 2 listing and historical significance. Three elegant pendant lights with a brass finish and frosted glass shades hang above the central island, which is topped with a pristine white countertop. The island also incorporates a built-in sink and a cooktop, offering functionality within its streamlined form. Two modern bar stools with curved silhouettes and dark wooden legs are positioned at the island, providing casual seating. The kitchen cabinetry is minimalistic, with handleless doors painted in a muted off-white tone that complements the overall neutral palette. A splashback of white marble adds a touch of luxury and ties in with the countertop. The flooring is laid in a herringbone pattern, adding texture and a classic touch to the space. A small selection of books and a vase with eucalyptus branches introduce a personal and lived-in feel to the otherwise minimalist kitchen.

This kitchen is designed to create an elegant beach house. The combination of the French white oak, with white and white marble, creates a modern warmth, while maintaining an exclusive, elegant look and feel at the same time. DOCA cabinets, with shaker doors that have integrated handles, were chosen for their current, but not very modern look. The striped panels on the sides of the island add interest and a look of comfort. White marble counters and backsplash is the perfect touch of elegance that elevates this kitchen, to its grandeur look.

To spotlight the owners’ worldly decor, this remodel quietly complements the furniture and art textures, colors, and patterns abundant in this beautiful home. The original master bath had a 1980s style in dire need of change. By stealing an adjacent bedroom for the new master closet, the bath transformed into an artistic and spacious space. The jet-black herringbone-patterned floor adds visual interest to highlight the freestanding soaking tub. Schoolhouse-style shell white sconces flank the matching his and her vanities. The new generous master shower features polished nickel dual shower heads and hand shower and is wrapped in Bedrosian Porcelain Manifica Series in Luxe White with satin finish. The kitchen started as dated and isolated. To add flow and more natural light, the wall between the bar and the kitchen was removed, along with exterior windows, which allowed for a complete redesign. The result is a streamlined, open, and light-filled kitchen that flows into the adjacent family room and bar areas – perfect for quiet family nights or entertaining with friends. Crystal Cabinets in white matte sheen with satin brass pulls, and the white matte ceramic backsplash provides a sleek and neutral palette. The newly-designed island features Calacutta Royal Leather Finish quartz and Kohler sink and fixtures. The island cabinets are finished in black sheen to anchor this seating and prep area, featuring round brass pendant fixtures. One end of the island provides the perfect prep and cut area with maple finish butcher block to match the stove hood accents. French White Oak flooring warms the entire area. A complete house renovation for an Interior Stylist and her family. Dreamy. The essence of these pieces of bespoke furniture: natural beauty, comfort, family, and love. Custom cabinetry was designed and made for the Kitchen, Utility, Boot, Office and Family room.

This stylish, family friendly kitchen is also an entertainer’s dream! This young family desired a bright, spacious kitchen that would function just as well for the family of 4 everyday, as it would for hosting large events (in a non-covid world). Apart from these programmatic goals, our aesthetic goal was to accommodate all the function and mess into the design so everything would be neatly hidden away behind beautiful cabinetry and panels. The navy, bifold buffet area serves as an everyday breakfast and coffee bar, and transforms into a beautiful buffet spread during parties (we’ve been there!). The fridge drawers are great for housing milk and everyday items during the week, and both kid and adult beverages during parties while keeping the guests out of the main cooking zone. Just around the corner you’ll find the high gloss navy bar offering additional beverages, ice machine, and barware storage – cheers! Super durable quartz with a marbled look keeps the kitchen looking neat and bright, while withstanding everyday wear and tear without a problem. The practical waterfall ends at the island offer additional damage control in bringing that hard surface all the way down to the beautiful white oak floors. Underneath three large window walls, a built-in banquette and custom table provide a comfortable, intimate dining nook for the family and a few guests while the stunning chandelier ties in nicely with the other brass accents in the kitchen. The thin black window mullions offer a sharp, clean contrast to the crisp white walls and coordinate well with the dark banquette. Thin, tall windows on either side of the range beautifully frame the stunningly simple, double curvature custom hood, and large windows in the bar/butler’s pantry allow additional light to really flood the space and keep and airy feel. The textured wallpaper in the bar area adds a touch of warmth, drama and interest while still keeping things simple.

The knobs and pulls came from a company called "Top Knobs" and the color of them is brushed bronze. The kitchen faucet is from "Trinsic" and the color is champagne, the faucet number is #9159CZDST

The new floor plan design made more effective use of the space, accommodating multiple renovation needs into the kitchen. The new layout created an open galley kitchen with a 13 1/2′ Island with seating at each end, a cool-grey custom banquette with 2 tables.

Neolith is a sintered compact surface with ceramic-like qualities and a luxurious satin finish and it is the principal material for this bespoke kitchen. Though regularly used for worktops and as architectural cladding, to the best of our knowledge Neolith has not previously been incorporated into the design of kitchen cabinetry. As such, a crucial part of our design development process involved testing and prototyping different techniques to determine how this solid surface material could be effectively applied to joinery as a cladding while retaining its structural integrity. The completed kitchen features a cantilevered hob elevation, a full-height elevation with a hidden pantry and an island with breakfast bar – all clad in Neolith Cement grey. And though distinctly minimalist in its design, the overall impact of this bespoke kitchen is one of pure and understated luxury. Materials: Neolith (Fusion Cement), Valchromat (Light Grey), American black walnut (solid & veneered), melamine-faced MDF with walnut edge veneer and custom-fabricated stainless steel fridge & freezer door handles Appliances & Fitments: Miele dishwasher, 2 single ovens & Mastercool fridge-freezer, Barazza gas hob, Westin Stratus Compact ceiling extractor and Quooker Fusion Square hot, cold and boiling water tap Photography by Alexandria Hall
