After living in their home for nearly 20 years, for their second renovation of this kitchen they decided to do it right--a small addition to the rear of the home and large windows allow views of the backyard and light to flow into this warm contemporary kitchen. Sarah Robertson of Studio Dearborn helped her client renovate their kitchen to capture the views and vibe they were after. Pale rift oak cabinetry is punctuated with grey/blue glass uppers, bringing color and reflective light into this welcoming space. Dove White shaker Grabill Cabinetry and soft 4”x8” stacked glass backsplash tiles create a sleek and rectilinear design. The White Galaxy granite countertop, with a radius seating area, marries the two tones, while breaking up the rigid hard lines of the design by creating a visually appealing cohesive room. Ceiling height cabinetry adds volume to the space. The stainless steel appliances contemporize this kitchen while details, like the crown molding, add a traditional touch to this overall transitionally timeless design.

This Kitchen includes Custom Cabinetry with a subtle paint and glaze combination, java stained and glazed island, 6cm Stone countertops, stained glass backsplash. 6' Refrigeration units were enclosed with massive pantry cabinets including multiple room tray for easy use. The 10' ceiling height added to this inspirational 84"wide hood! Polished floor tile and decorative ceiling moldings added to the drama of this incredible space.

Double European style range hoods for 30" induction cooktop and 16" flat top commercial griddle. Compact double wall convection oven reduces pre-heat time and offers plenty of space for a thanksgiving turkey.

From our first visit to the showroom to the day the kitchen was completed was a seamless and enjoyable process with Sarah and the team. They ensured that our ideas were turned into reality and challenged our thoughts in a way that made the final choice exactly what we were looking for. We found the “walk though” of every part of the kitchen useful and informative. This is a contemporary handleless kitchen with matt Cashmere colour doors, accented by a bank of Grey Acacia wood effect units. The seamless Corian worktop in Sandsone complements the units with a coved upstand all around and finished on top of the windowsill. An stainless steel undermount sink adds to the minimal look with a set of drainer grooves running into the Corian top. The look is finished with run of glass splashback in a Lavender Blue, lit up by LED lighting within the wall units. All Siemens integrated appliances throughout, incorporating a wi-fi controlled oven which enables customers to turn the oven on from their phone while away from home to ensure dinner is ready on their return. The floor is a Moduleo tile in the Azuriet range, a hard wearing vinyl flooring laid in individual tiles.

During office appointments we display clients kitchens on a flat screen TV and help them look through 100’s of sample doorstyles, almost a thousand sample finish blocks and sample kitchen cabinets. During home visits we can bring samples, take measurements, and make design changes on laptops showing you what your kitchen can look like in the very room being renovated. This is more convenient for our customers and it eliminates the expense of staffing and maintaining a larger space that is open to walk in traffic. We pass the significant savings on to our customers and so we sell cabinetry for less than other dealers, even home centers like Lowes and The Home Depot. We believe that since a web site like Houzz.com has over half a million kitchen photos, any advantage to going to a full kitchen showroom with full kitchen displays has been lost. Almost no customer today will ever get to see a display kitchen in their door style and finish because there are just too many possibilities. And the design of each kitchen is unique anyway. Our design process allows us to spend more time working on our customer’s designs. Gorgeous beach house we've painted in CT. Very clean design and minimalist. For the trim we've used Benjamin Moore Advance Satin finish. For the walls we've used Regal Select Matte finish also from Benjamin Moore. Beautiful limestone finish on the fireplace. For the Exterior we've Arborcoat Semi Solid stain for the trim. Elegant and sophisticated house that was a pleasure to work with the Developer, Designer and Owners. We hope you enjoy it.
