Conceived as a remodel and addition, the final design iteration for this home is uniquely multifaceted. Structural considerations required a more extensive tear down, however the clients wanted the entire remodel design kept intact, essentially recreating much of the existing home. The overall floor plan design centers on maximizing the views, while extensive glazing is carefully placed to frame and enhance them. The residence opens up to the outdoor living and views from multiple spaces and visually connects interior spaces in the inner court. The client, who also specializes in residential interiors, had a vision of ‘transitional’ style for the home, marrying clean and contemporary elements with touches of antique charm. Energy efficient materials along with reclaimed architectural wood details were seamlessly integrated, adding sustainable design elements to this transitional design. The architect and client collaboration strived to achieve modern, clean spaces playfully interjecting rustic elements throughout the home. Stunning kitchen after an addition to existing home brought all the conveniences and beauty these clients were desiring. The island is 14ft long x 5 feet and is accented with Blue Agate stone that was also under-lit to subtly define the dining area of the island.

The concept of a modern design was created through the use of two-toned acrylic Grabill cabinets, stainless appliances, quartz countertops and a glass tile backsplash. The simple stainless hood installed in front of large format Porcelanosa tile creates a striking focal point, while a monochromatic color palette of grays and whites achieve the feel of a cohesive and airy space. Additionally, ample amounts of artificial light, was designed to keep this kitchen bright and inviting.

Open plan galley kitchen. White, bright, and airy with incredible city view. All new cabinetry, plumbing, and countertops. Cabinetry is white gloss, flat panel and backsplash is a white subway glass tile to reflect light throughout the kitchen.

Cooking essentials are all within reach for the serious chefs in this home! Faced with a cramped eat-in kitchen our job was to both maximize and open up the space. By relocating the refrigerator and surrounding it with pantry cabinets, we were able to create more counter space and allow space for two chefs. Warm stained-wood open corner shelving was installed to display the chefs’ favorite items and keep them right at an arm's reach. The breakfast table is now positioned at the window, giving diners a view of the beautiful backyard. The finishes (Executive Cabinetry - Putnam door style in Alabaster paint; Belgian Blue Satin quartz counters by Alleanza) blend seamlessly with the rest of the home.

Our bold, contemporary kitchen located in Cooper City Florida is a striking combination of of textured glass and high gloss cabinetry tempered with warm neutrals, wood grain and an elegant rush of gold.
