Die Doppelhaushälfte wurde kernsaniert und nach den Wünschen der Kunden offen und zeitlos ausgestattet. Im Erdgeschoss ließen wir dazu die Küchenwände entfernen. Der Eingang ist jetzt mit einer raumhohen Schrankanlage – vom Schreiner auf Maß gefertigt – und einer Mattglas-Schiebetür abgetrennt. Eines der Schrankelemente ist eine offene Garderobe zum Flur, in den anderen Schränken sind Kühlschrank, Backofen und Küchengeräte in Richtung Küche untergebracht. Die Spüle ist unter dem Fenster flächenbündig in die Arbeitsplatte aus cremefarbenem Silestone eingelassen. Die Position wurde dabei so gewählt, dass sich beide Fensterflügel an der Armatur vorbei öffnen lassen. Rechts läuft die Arbeitsplatte in ein offenes Fach für die dort angeschlossenen Küchengeräte hinein. So lassen sich diese für die Benutzung einfach nach vorn ziehen. Werden sie nicht gebraucht, kann das Fach mit einem Rollladen geschlossen werden. Auf der anderen Seite ist das Kochfeld mit integriertem Muldenlüfter untergebracht. Beleuchtet wird die Arbeitsfläche durch eingelassene LED-Leisten in den Oberschränken. Abgetrennt wird die Küche durch ein halbhohes Schrankelement mit einem eingebauten Weinkühlschrank an der Kopfseite. Es dient zugleich als Rückwand für die Eckbank am Essplatz. Seine Deckplatte aus Nussbaum nimmt die Optik des Bodens wieder auf.

This kitchen is a wheelchair accessible kitchen designed by Adam Thomas of Design Matters. With height-adjustable worktops, acrylic doors and brushed steel handles for comfortable use with impaired grip. The two Corian worktops are fully height adjustable and have raised edges on all four sides to contain hot spills and reduce the risk of injury. A single Neff oven with slideaway door, and a combination microwave oven have been specified for this kitchen. Each oven is teamed with a slimline pullout shelf that is faced with stainless steel to make it heat-resistant. This means hot items can be transferred between the hob and the oven safely, while the client's lap is completely covered and protected from hot spills. Photographs by Jonathan Smithies Photography. Grande cuisine avec îlot Armony Cucine, agencement en L deux finitions : Une finition Latte Lucido pour les portes façades de l’aménagement linéaire de meubles haut et bas et pour l’îlot central. Une finition Moka 1137 mat pour l’aménagement tout hauteur de meuble colonne. Cette cuisine est spacieuse et fonctionnel par un grand nombre de rangement : Un ensemble linéaire de meuble haut avec porte façade sans poigné, leurs ouverture se fait par un Système de gorge profilé inox. Un ensemble linéaire de meuble bas, accueil un lave-vaisselle intégrable qui vient compléter la zone de nettoyage déjà caractérisé par une cuve sous plan en inox de chez FRANKE auquel a été joint à un mitigeur haut avec douchette en inox. Un îlot de taille confortable caractérise l’une des deux de zones de cuisson de la cuisine. Une table induction multizone de chez NOVY y a été installée, elle commande une hotte plafonnier NOVY, qui est encastré dans un coffrage créé sur mesure. L’îlot comprend également des rangements type : tiroir à couvert, casserolier, tiroir à ustensile de cuisine, coulissant à épice. Coté salon il est aménagé d’une niche ouverte pouvant faire office de petite Bibliothèque, ce qui renforce le design moderne de cette cuisine. Un aménagement tout hauteur de meuble colonne aux portes façades Moka 1137 mat, vient apporter du contracte au sein de la cuisine. Il regroupe les gros électroménagers tel que : un réfrigérateur intégrable et un congélateur intégrable de chez LIEBHERR. Cet aménagement comprend aussi la deuxième zone cuisson de la cuisine, qui est caractérisée par un four multifonction et un combiné four micro-ondes de chez SIEMENS. Une colonne coulissante tout hauteur est placé en bout de cet aménagement tout hauteur.Le plan de travail utilisé dans cette cuisine est un GRANIT BROWN ANTIQUE. Behagliche und moderne Wohnatmosphäre, gepaart mit einer funktionalen Kücheneinrichtung. Grambow & Widmer nahm sich gern dieser Aufgabe an. Bei der klassischen U-Planung mit Einschubtürenschrank für maximalen Stauraum wurde der Herd in den Halbinselbereich platziert. Von hier aus gibt es beim Kochen beste Übersicht auf den angrenzenden See und auf die großzügige Dachterrasse. Abends kommt die indirekte Beleuchtung der Küche besonders zur Geltung. Die Lichtvoute aus Trockenbau nimmt die Kontur des Grundrisses auf und verleiht dem Raum zusätzliche Höhe.

Contemporary German Kitchen in Horsham, West Sussex A rethink of this Horsham kitchen helped create a new functional island space, new kitchen entrance and matching utility. The Brief This client sought to make changes to their previous kitchen involving a rethink of their kitchen island, in addition to an all-round modernisation. From early project conversations it was clear that well organised storage was key, as well as including plenty of worktop space. As part of the project, creating a new doorway into the kitchen was also required, as well as an in keeping renovation of a utility space. Design Elements Designer Alistair has utilised a layout not dissimilar from the previous kitchen, instead replacing stand-alone island with a peninsula island space connected to the kitchen. This minor layout change helped to incorporate the vast worktop space this client required, as well as the social island area that the client desired. A subtle two-tone theme was another wish of the client, with glossy handleless finishes Satin Grey and Slate Grey contributing to the contemporary aesthetic of this space. The design is accompanied by plenty of lighting options to add a further modern feel, including undercabinet downlights, ceiling downlights and plinth lighting. Behind the hob a glass splashback has been included which has been chosen in a black shimmer finish, complimenting the overall design as well as the white quartz work surfaces, named Snowy Ibiza. Special Inclusions The client was keen to keep the kitchen area feeling light and spacious, and so another key part of the design was the use of full-height cabinetry to house the majority of appliances. Here a number of Neff appliances feature, including a Slide & Hide oven, combination oven, warming drawer, refrigerator and freezer which have both been integrated behind furniture. A Neff hob has been placed just to the side, above which a built-in Neff extractor is integrated to remove any cooking odours. Opposite, a Quooker boiling water tap has been installed above a Blanco quartz composed sink which ties in nicely with the chosen work surface. Looking towards the utility area, sideboard style furniture has been included as a space to store small appliances that are used daily, as well as cupboard space for added extra storage. Here you can also see the new doorway into the kitchen, which leads from the hallway of this property. Project Highlight A matching utility upgrade was a key part of this project, and designer Alistair was tasked with integrating extra storage, laundry appliances, plus a small sink area. This area makes use of Satin Grey furniture and a laminate work surface option. Beneath the work surface you might also spot a bed area for this client’s pooch. The End Result For this project designer Alistair has created a clever design to achieve all the elements of this project brief, including an important island change and a matching utility. This project got its start when a proud homeowner built his residence a number of decades back on a beautiful site in Solana Beach. The new design proposed a complete reconfiguration of the interior layout and a new gallery walkway. These changes would tie together the existing house and detached garage. Simple and well executed framing made this work relatively simple, keeping the existing exterior walls and roof in place. New interior and exterior finishes were applied throughout the house. In addition to reusing most of the existing structure, sustainable features include abundant natural light and ventilation, radiant heating, solar hot water and a PV system.

The scullery contains another fridge and a large, double sink, each located at the ends of a long benchtop that takes up the entire back wall. This benchtop provides plenty of workspace, plus more than enough room a full array of small appliances. Above, open shelving offers easy access to plates, glassware and cookbooks.
