Tascone Design is an all-encompassing Building Design and Interior Design Firm located in Perth, Western Australia, founded by Mario Tascone in 1987. With over 36 years of experience, we are creating innovative, new design trends using a combination of youth and experience amongst our team. We create homes and buildings that are individual and practical, with a focus on meeting your personal budget and living requirements. We utilise a broad range of architectural styles to create exciting and unique buildings of excellence. A special feature of Tascone Design is that we offer complimentary Building Broker services. This means we coordinate all aspects of your build, including all the consultants and documentation you will need for council approvals. We then go to tender with a range of quotes provided by Perth’s best building companies. We are a true one-stop-shop! We are proud of our designs, and feel privileged to work alongside our clients to create their dream home. The process begins by establishing a design brief, then creating concept sketch designs before moving on to final drawings – we can even create a 3D model you can walk through! Our service also includes providing a finished turnkey home, complete with interior design assistance. We offer a no pressure, no obligation free quote. Awards and Achievements: Tascone Design was the very first winner of the WA Building Design Awards in 1993, and went on to win nationally in 2002, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2012. He has also won many categories in the WA Building Design Awards, including Single Residence, Industrial Building Design and Multi Residential in 2008, 2009 and 2011. In 2015 he won both Best Commercial Interiors and Best Commercial Alterations/additions. The Town of Claremont awarded Tascone Design with the Civic Design Award for Additions to Heritage Places in 2016. His awards span many categories, both locally and nationally around Australia, with a total of 32. Averaging an award for each year the business has been operating. Most recently, he won the BDAWA Commendation and People’s Choice award for Best New Residential Design two years in a row (2017 & 2018).

Mario and the team from start to finish are unfaultable. Professionalism, creativity, flair and an open mind are just some of the qualities that Mario and the team exude. Mario worked in each of our design ideas, wishes, wants and must-haves to an incredible end product - our dream home. Not even in our own minds could we envisage what Mario has brought to life for us. Using only the best complimentary contractors, Mario secured very professional and fast acting engineers, energy efficiency and certifier teams who turned our plans around in a quick time-frame. They helped us through all the processes, right from the start, through the planning and approvals processes and getting competitive quotes for builders. The TD team were always professional, knowledgeable, down to earth and friendly. Everything was completed in a timely manner and they followed up to ensure that we were happy with all aspects of their services. Designing our home with a Tascone Design was a pleasure. From the first meeting, we knew Mario was the person we wanted to design our home. He really listened - to what we wanted, how we lived and the lifestyle we wanted. He then delivered a design that was us on a page. Our builder commented that many of the tradies that came through during the build commented on how awesome the layout was, which was not a typical situation. The end result is a house that is even better to live in that we thought it would be from the plans. Further to this, we had no idea how to select the colours and fittings to finish this house. Mario provided an interior design service that saved us many hours and probably many marital fights. It also finished our house perfectly!

We hired Tascone Design to design and document for tender, 4 residential apartments at 112 Onslow Rd, Shenton Park, in 2016. Mario and his team completed the work in a very professional manner, to a very good standard. Any ongoing queries by the builder etc were answered promptly. We were very happy with Tascone Design, and will definitely use them again on future projects.

Mario worked closely with us to incorporate all our design objectives but maintaining the heritage look and feel of our 1904 house at the front moving through to a modern family room, pantry, laundry etc. He used internal space to help us create a more liveable house and open up the family room to the pool area. We used Tascone Design recently for the design of our proposed new family house. We found Mario very easy to deal with. He carefully considered our design brief in terms of the building requirements and projected cost and came up with a suitable and what we expect will be an excellent house design. Our comments during the design process were taken on board and where appropriate included in the following revision. For novices and we were, Mario is very knowledgeable on the building process including tendering and had some excellent recommendations with regards to materials, suppliers and builders. His services are highly recommended.

Mario's reputation in Perth is first class, therefore we asked Tascone Design to quote on the design of our new residential house. Like everything he has done for us, he outlined both the process and pricing in a timely and professional manner. Once we started working with him and his team (particularly Ben and Lauren), it was very clear that we have made the right decision. These guys are all awesome!! They are right across all the available products, there designs are very functional (and look awesome) - and they nailed everything that we were trying to achieve with our new home. We are now two thirds of the way through our new house build, and we couldn't be happier. Our house has been perfectly designed, any questions or queries we raise are answered that day (eg about colour schemes, alternative products etc) - and it is all done with a "nothing is too hard" attitude. We now understand why so many other people rave about them. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking a professional, well priced design service for their residential or commercial project.

Mario designed an MBA award winning display home for the Ross North Group. We gave Mario a brief of an idea we wanted to build and within a week we had 3 different concepts to look at. His attention to detail and finishes is first class and he is constantly keeping up with the latest trends which makes it easy get the right look.

I engaged Tascone Design Team to prepare plans & working drawings for a new home project that myself & my wife have been working on for several years, to many designers fail to listen to what you are saying & simply add there ideas instead, this often leaves you with someone else's design & not yours what you actually want. Mario & Ben were the opposite, they listened to our requests & we're very close even with the first set of preliminary drawings. Spyda Construction was engaged to complete a refurbishment of an office/warehouse development in Osborne Park & we worked closely with Tascone Design Team to deliver this project to the clients brief. We found the level of documentation was very good & given the complex nature of renovation work, we were able to get quick & concise answers in a timely manner which allowed us to complete the project on time. Where do I start? This was the question I asked myself after buying a very small piece of land in inner city Perth. This was not a project build type block. I wanted a contemporary design that provided an inner city lifestyle within a reasonable budget. The functional design, the light, the integrated living were high on my priority list. The Brief My brief to Tascone design was "an upside down house with lots of light", on a 187sqm block. Contemporary feel. That was it, the total brief! What Tascone design delivered was simply amazing. The light into the living area maximises the winter sun making it a delightful place to have breakfast in winter. The summer sun however is higher and hence my house misses the scorching Perth sun. I made one very small lot of changes to the initial design That was all that was needed. The team nailed the design. So much so it won a design award and featured in magazines. Everyone who comes to my house (9 years later) still comments on the light and the warmth in winter. The house is functional yet stylish. My builder commented on the quality and depth of the working drawings and how nothing was left to chance. I am about to do an internal reno on an old house and I wouldnt think of anyone else to give me ideas and draw up the working drawings. I can highly recommend this talented, easy to get along with team. I'll be back when I next decide to build. Thanks kindly Tascone Team, Jenny Della-Vedova

Mario Tascone and his team designed the house that we are currently building. We went to him with a concept of what we wanted to achieve with the block that we had, and he developed our concept through several iterations to the final design. He then prepared all of the working drawings required for building approvals and for actual construction. We were very happy with the service provided by Mario and his team, if we challenged aspects of the design he was not defensive, but instead listened and took our comments into consideration for the next iteration of the design. We would have no hesitations in recommending the Tascone Design Team to anyone looking for a home designer.
