conception et suivi de réalisation d'une cuisine sur mesure là où se trouvait une chambre et un petit bureau. Ouverture du mur porteur, création d'une nouvelle dalle, d'un nouvelle fenêtre. les meubles de la cuisine sont en plaqué chêne avec prises de main sur mesure en chêne massif. le plan de travail de l'ilot, du plan de travail et des crédences sont en Silestone Ethéreal. Le reste des meubles en mélaminé kaki, référence camouflage. Une banquette en chêne moderne et un placard encastré ont aussi été dessinés sur mesure, pour répondre à un ensemble dans un esprit scandinave et un design années 50, comme la maison d'origine. Les sols en mini carreaux de terre cuite rouge on été posés au sol pour être en accord avec les sols de la maison.

What is not to love about this kitchen?? Simple, full of charm, efficient layout..... and the perfect paint colors selected by ColorMoxie NW. Selecting white is much more complex than one might guess. The wrong white wall and cabinetry color could have forever looked "off" with the quartz counters and white subway tile. And that blue?? Swoon worthy Baltic Sea by Benjamin Moore. Hard to see in the photo, but there's a smidge of the same blue in the Marmoleum swirls (color: Sunny Day).

The homeowner felt closed-in with a small entry to the kitchen which blocked off all visual and audio connections to the rest of the first floor. The small and unimportant entry to the kitchen created a bottleneck of circulation between rooms. Our goal was to create an open connection between 1st floor rooms, make the kitchen a focal point and improve general circulation. We removed the major wall between the kitchen & dining room to open up the site lines and expose the full extent of the first floor. We created a new cased opening that framed the kitchen and made the rear Palladian style windows a focal point. White cabinetry was used to keep the kitchen bright and a sharp contrast against the wood floors and exposed brick. We painted the exposed wood beams white to highlight the hand-hewn character. The open kitchen has created a social connection throughout the entire first floor. The communal effect brings this family of four closer together for all occasions. The island table has become the hearth where the family begins and ends there day. It's the perfect room for breaking bread in the most casual and communal way.

Working with the cedar ceiling and features throughout, we went with sage green lowers and white uppers to brighten the space. The client wanted eco-friendly options, so we have hardwood throughout and cork in the kitchen. The countertop has a touch of green specs to pull in the cabinet colour. We stacked the backsplash to give the space a more modern feel.

the view from in front of the TV looking to entire kitchen. LOVE the prep sink and island zone - totally Houzz inspired. Clean up zone right behind table, can stand up from meal and load dishwasher without walking. No, it isn't formal, but lots of fun day in day out. this house has a full basement so we could lose upper cabinets with the downstairs storage, and double the oversink window to maximize the light.

Here is an example of an Eichler home remodel completed by Murphey Builders in 2019 located in Walnut Creek, CA. A modern twist with cork floors, quartz counters and a tasteful mix of walnut and dark blue kitchen cabinets. We were able to keep many of the original Eichler designs and highlight them with low voltage LED strip lighting emphasizing the v-rustic ceiling with large beams. The cork floor adds to the homes comfort by dampening sound, cushioning steps and insulating from the concrete slab underneath.
