Sadly, during the early to mid-1900s, this once vital hardwood timber tree was virtually destroyed in the eastern United States by an Asian bark fungus. Our Solution The clients blend of vintage and crisp modern architecture meant the scheme could be a little industrial in its aesthetic. We have combined several key features – An oversized rooflight to flood the kitchen with sun; a feature pivot door to the garden and a simple wrapped zinc roof. With the clients fantastic garden to look onto and a reclaimed gym floor to add a bit of reclaimed chic, this has created some striking, crisp architecture. Category

To provide a comprehensive approach to the design process, our landscape architects prepared a detailed hard and soft landscaping scheme. The existing original structures of the three stone buildings were retained in their entirety, using link elements to form a single dwelling. An oak framed fully glazed sunroom link and entrance porch were added features; the A-framed trusses of the new structure provide a traditional theme to the architecture, whilst also providing interest and height to the internal space. This Kitchen was reconfigured and opened up into the living area by removing a wall and replacing it with a full length seating for the whole family. Custom Cabinets from Elias Woodwork in two colors warms up the kitchen for all to enjoy. Unique handmade backsplash tiles brings the rustic touch that this kitchen brings to the house.

As with every Palazzo kitchen, we tailored the furniture to work for the family and on this occasion rather than running wall units into the top corner, we added in some wall panels with rail detail that can be used to hang accessories on.
