Andrea and Jeff are the most incredible team! They worked on my parents’ remodel and the house is just to die for! By far, the most gorgeous house I’ve ever seen. Andrea was there helping my mom throughout the entire process, and she always had a positive attitude and smile on her face. My husband and I just bought our first house, and I knew the only people to trust with making our new house into our new beautiful home, were Andrea and Jeff. They’ve both done such a great job so far with everything and we’re so excited for the rest of the process. I would recommend Model Design to everyone! You’ll be very happy!!!

Jeff Browning was recommended to us by our contractor. We were so pleased with our experience with him as he designed a 2 story 1,100 square foot addition to our home. He was able to integrate our desires with the requirements of the city guidelines. He really understood our vision and took the time to guide us through the process. He was instrumental in getting our plans approved by the city and was meticulous with any changes they required. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Andrea Browning, of model design inc. We recently went through an extensive kitchen remodel and overhaul, and Andrea was amazing through the whole process. She made the daunting tasks of choosing all materials/appliances/fixtures and furniture seamless and smooth. She was always available to us, and very cognizant of our budget and time constraints. She always took into consideration our wants and desires, and also opened our eyes to things we hadn’t considered. We are absolutely thrilled with the results, and could not have done it without her. We would highly recommend her for any project and wouldn’t do another one without her.

The Model Design team executed a magnificent, full remodel of my home in Manhattan Beach. They took a haphazard 1920s’ beach cottage on a narrow lot five blocks from the sand, and with their unparalleled vision, masterful drafting skills and attentive devotion to my project turned it into a magnificent and completely livable home that was subsequently featured in several top shelf home and design magazines. Our kitchen was also voted best kitchen of the year by Kitchen Trends Magazine and featured in a four page spread. We invested years of savings into our remodel and I felt incredible confidence that the project was being managed with expertise by Model Design and that we were getting the best value for our dollar. We took the entire house down to ground, but for two framed walls and our beautiful, quirky chimney that we wanted to preserve. This is one the many thoughtful and bright ideas Jeff Browning came up that that intentionally kept us in our pre-remodel property tax bracket and saves us tens of thousands of dollars annually. Jeff was our architect and spent over nine months with us before even breaking ground to know our family, how we live, plan the house’s design and research the city’s requirements and clear permitting. Jeff was on call throughout the entire process and came to ‘save the day’ multiple times with his clear thinking and sophisticated way of digesting complicated information and making it palatable for the general public, like myself! Jeff is truly next level with the generous service he gives to his clients and his ever-working intelligence. His partner and wife, Andrea Browning, is unlike any other designer I have encountered. In addition to being a designer, Andrea has years of training as an artist and comes from a linage of Italian architects. Andrea draws detailed plans of the inside of the house herself. No other designer I’ve met has the ability to do this! Most of them just ‘point and shoot’ by telling the subs by simply telling, word of mouth, what to do. This is not a reliable way to craft something very mathematical, made of stone, wood and brick, where mistakes can cost a small fortune which becomes the homeowner’s responsibility. My contractor and his subs had never seen drawings and details so clear and laid-out before Andrea’s. Her articulation of her vision surely saved me vast amounts of money by giving all the sub-contractors explicitly clear direction as to what they were to create, the timing of their tasks and, in the process, absolved me from responsibility for any mistakes that resulted if they veered from these detailed, life-saving plans. Here’s another amazing aspect - Model Design was also very competitive with their pricing and held to their initially set budget throughout the year-long process. Along the way, there were no surprise, mark-ups and rather, the team saved me money at each step by recommending I buy the conservative, less expensive pieces where unnecessary and dedicate the money to places in the house where the results really shine. I cannot say enough about the team’s talents and their generosity. In the end, Model Design increased the value of my house by at least twice the money I invested in it, if not more. The final result is a show-stopper of a home. Nothing less. It is magnificent and takes people’s breath away. From the charming sea-side Dutch door to the ornate ceilings and elegantly hand-crafted custom carrera tile mosaic backsplash in the kitchen, the house is simply gorgeous. Yet for my family it is home. It is a warm, comfortable sanctuary to live in with great function and form. It is one of my favorite houses I’ve ever been to and was built by true professionals with great follow through and attention to detail as well as with love, dedication and fun. We had a wonderful time working together. How unique that is? The Model Design Team is a one-in-a-million and I highly recommend them implicitly. If you are reading this and are considering them you are very fortunate and have already struck gold!

I found Model Design when looking for someone locally to help me with my kitchen remodel. I was blown away with the quality of work Andrea and Jeff had done so there was no need to look any further. I worked mostly with Andrea as I wasn't changing the layout but wanted some help in how to best utilize my space and achieve the look I wanted, and that is exactly what she did! I love their passion and enthusiasm about design and will definately work with them again when it comes time to remodel my bathroom. They are both genuinely kind, very professional, and incredibly talented. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

My husband and I contracted Model Design in 2016-17 to remodel our San Pedro home. Over several months of working on the project, Andrea and Jeff were always dependable, always engaged, and thoroughly excited to partner with us on the project. Andrea was able to synthesize our ideas and desires with her expertise and vision, the result is a home that has far exceeded our lofty expectations. They have been a phenomenal team to work with, and, to this day, walking in the front door of our home is a breathtaking, profound experience that hasn’t diminished one bit.

My husband and I have had the pleasure to built two homes with Andrea. The experience was beyond pleasant and ran very smooth! Andrea and Jeff are a complete dream team! We had the back half of our house completed gutted and redone. Their design for our kitchen, family room, bathrooms, and kids' rooms is more beautiful than anything I've ever seen in Architectural Digest. One of the reasons I love working with them, is that they are not scared to tell you if they think you are making a mistake. Ultimately, it is your decision, but we hired professionals to keep us from making mistakes, and that is exactly what they did. They have a vision and they can see it much clearer than my husband or I! haha People walk into our home and their jaws drop at the beauty. Thank you Andrea and Jeff for giving us a dream home!

Our project began three years ago and was a full build of a 5000 square feet plantation home. Many items designed for us had to be redone because it simply did not fit into our budget or it looked excessively ornate, or it was designed in an awkward way and did not look right. Our builder and architect did not think that designs fit with the house and suggested changes to the interior designs. However when we tried to make changes, the designer's ego could not handle it. It was difficult to work with this designer.

Andrea is an amazing designer. She went above and beyond to help us throughout our project. She is extremely knowledgeable and efficient. I will definitely use her again and refer her to my friends.

We absolutely LOVED working with both Andrea and Jeff Browning of Model Design! We felt so incredibly fortunate to find a husband-wife team that could handle all aspects of the architectural planning and design of our extensive remodel. Andrea is SUPER patient, warm, and always positive, and was so enjoyable and fun to work with! The planning and execution of any extensive remodel can be extremely stressful.
