50 Degrees North is an award-winning practice specialising in designing: - New build homes - Whole house refurbishment - Home extensions - Loft conversions - We also have a specialist team responsible for producing specialist packages for builders and developers We are a flexible and approachable practice which encourages a collaborative approach between client and architect. We are based in London, have over 17 years experience in the industry and have worked on more than 1000 projects. We have developed an accessible, client-friendly approach to engaging an architect. Be that full service (from initial designs right through to build to snagging) or design through to planning/handover to client / their desired build team. Our designs are the outcome of this conversation. The perfect mix of client desire, married with architectural know-how. Our design process had been finely honed in response to client needs. We provide a full architectural service broken down into 5 key ‘packs’. Clients are able to choose the level of input or the number of ‘packs’ they require.

Although a modest sized job, we were delighted with the creativity and support provided by 50 Degrees. They even recommended some excellent garden designers and window manufacturers. The finished job is beautiful. 5 stars only just avoided owing to staff member leaving and some short delays followed, but that's life and it didn't offend.

We appointed 50 Degrees following the design of a friends kitchen. We bought a house that needed modernisation and extending. The requirement of 50 degrees was a re-model of the upstairs loft, ensuite bathroom and kitchen/living space at the rear of the property.

After much research into architects we appointed 50 Degrees North due to their creative vision and clear understanding of our design ideas. We had a strong vision of what we wanted and how we wanted to push boundaries creatively with our extension which they completely supported and encouraged. Their philosophy of creative architectural design and materials very much aligned with ours and enabled us to deliver our vision. We didn't want anything "off the shelf" and they were fantastic at realising our ideas and helping us source companies to deliver these. The team were really friendly, helpful and supportive throughout the entire project and we would highly recommend the team to anyone looking to create something unique.

I employed 50° North architects to draw up plans for my extension and side return with utility room, side entrance and toilet. This involved initial plans, submitting plans for Planning consent, final plans and coordinating with Thames Water, structural engineers and party wall surveyors plus several on site visits. The architects were brilliant at listening to our ideas and drawing up plans in line with that vision. We particularly wanted a light airy space in a north facing room and this is exactly what we now have! They were at all times professional, always approachable and very good at working with our builders.
