The chandelier is a Haskell large chandelier in antique brass by Arteriors. The tile around the fireplace is Scraffito D with white as the background and charcoal as the design by Pratt & Larson.

The Home Study is complete with stained pine paneled walls and coffered ceiling. A custom fireplace and cabinetry serve as a focal point from the Foyer entrance and double pocket French Doors offer a semi-private entrance from the Master Suite. The objective was to create a warm neutral space to later customize to a specific colour palate/preference of the end user for this new construction home being built to sell. A high-end contemporary feel was requested to attract buyers in the area. An impressive kitchen that exuded high class and made an impact on guests as they entered the home, without being overbearing. The space offers an appealing open floorplan conducive to entertaining with indoor-outdoor flow. Due to the spec nature of this house, the home had to remain appealing to the builder, while keeping a broad audience of potential buyers in mind. The challenge lay in creating a unique look, with visually interesting materials and finishes, while not being so unique that potential owners couldn’t envision making it their own. The focus on key elements elevates the look, while other features blend and offer support to these striking components. As the home was built for sale, profitability was important; materials were sourced at best value, while retaining high-end appeal. Adaptations to the home’s original design plan improve flow and usability within the kitchen-greatroom. The client desired a rich dark finish. The chosen colours tie the kitchen to the rest of the home (creating unity as combination, colours and materials, is repeated throughout). Photos- Paul Grdina

Per un appartamento in centro a Milano, mobili minimal dalle forme semplici e lineari, fatti di angoli e rette. Spazi aperti con pochi elementi contenitivi ma funzionali. Nel progetto di ristrutturazie dell'architetto Valeria Sangalli Gariboldi ho contribuito a dare carattere all’abitazione nel centro della città, inserendo decorazioni ed installazioni adeguatamente create, tenendo conto delle richieste e dei gusti del committente.

This home office also serves as a family room and has a desk for work and also a television. Everything is kept neat and tidy thanks to two large Eames storage units manufactured by Herman Miller that feature lots of closed and open storage. The color palette is kept bright with bleached wood white floors and super white walls by Benjamin Moore. The wood tones of the storage plus the light wood picture frame add both warmth and dimension to the space. The addition of a CB2 bookcase brings the eye upward and adds 7 shelves of additional open storage.
