OPRCH is a design practice built out a breadth of in-depth experience in innovative architecture, landscape and urban design. At OPRCH we believe that the best design process - and product - is one that nurtures the curiosity of both our clients and ourselves. We appreciate our clients as collaborators and find joy in a lively exchange of ideas. We delight in the erosion of preconception, and sharing our perspective. We value delight in the experience of the world that arises from the discovery of the unexpected. We take joy in the process of invention – but understand it to be rooted in a solid knowledge of construction processes. We believe good design doesn’t require an excessive budget and that a firm understanding of project constraints often yields the most fertile territory for innovation. We were very fortunate to be able to work with Penn Ruderman on the design of our renovation. What impressed us most was how he factored in the play and lifestyle habits of our children into the design. That kind of attention to how the space would be used definitely exceeded our expectations, and has transformed the way we use the house! Penn guided us seamlessly through the design process and responded to all of our questions openly with wonderfully creative ideas. He made the entire experience very easy.
