This cozy coffee bar is nestled in a beautiful drywall arched nook creating a quaint moment to be enjoyed every morning. The custom white oak cabinets are faced with reeded millwork for that fine detail that makes the bar feel elevated and special. Beautiful marble with a mitered edge pairs nicely with the white oak natural finish. The new faucet from Kohler and Studio McGee was used for the bar sink faucet. This light bright feel is perfect to set that morning scene.

This kitchen was in desperate need of a makeover. (see the original space at the end) There was a truly odd peninsula that blocked the cook from access to the refrigerator behind it. The span was only 33" which made working in the area almost impossible. The peninsula was also the weekly dining area, but did not function well. This makeovers is truly one of my favoirites as it shows what good design can do for a space!

A young family moving from NYC to their first house in Westchester County found this spacious colonial in Mt. Kisco New York. With sweeping lawns and total privacy, the home offered the perfect setting for raising their family. The dated kitchen was gutted but did not require any additional square footage to accommodate a new, classic white kitchen with polished nickel hardware and gold toned pendant lanterns. 2 dishwashers flank the large sink on either side, with custom waste and recycling storage under the sink. The butler pantry allows small appliances to be kept plugged in and on the granite countertop. The drawers contain baking supplies for easy access to the mixer. A metal mesh front drawer keeps onions and potatoes. Also, a dedicated beverage fridge for the main floor of the house.

Northern Michigan summers are best spent on the water. The family can now soak up the best time of the year in their wholly remodeled home on the shore of Lake Charlevoix. This beachfront infinity retreat offers unobstructed waterfront views from the living room thanks to a luxurious nano door. The wall of glass panes opens end to end to expose the glistening lake and an entrance to the porch. There, you are greeted by a stunning infinity edge pool, an outdoor kitchen, and award-winning landscaping completed by Drost Landscape. Inside, the home showcases Birchwood craftsmanship throughout. Our family of skilled carpenters built custom tongue and groove siding to adorn the walls. The one of a kind details don’t stop there. The basement displays a nine-foot fireplace designed and built specifically for the home to keep the family warm on chilly Northern Michigan evenings. This modern farmhouse showcases our studio’s signature style of uniting California-cool style with Midwestern traditional. Double islands in the kitchen offer loads of counter space and can function as dining and workstations. The black-and-white palette lends a modern vibe to the setup. A sleek bar adjacent to the kitchen flaunts open shelves and wooden cabinetry that allows for stylish entertaining. This multi-purpose space serves as the Entry from the Garage (primary access for homeowners), Mudroom, and Butler's Pantry. The full-height cabinet provides additional needed storage, as well as broom-closet and pantry space. The gorgeous blue cabinets are paired with the large slate-colored tile on the floor. The countertop is continuous through to the kitchen, through the grocery pass-through to the kitchen counter on the other side of the wall. A coat closed is included, as well.
