This coastal home is located in Carlsbad, California! With some remodeling and vision this home was transformed into a peaceful retreat. The remodel features an open concept floor plan with the living room flowing into the dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is made gorgeous by its custom cabinetry with a flush mount ceiling vent. The dining room and living room are kept open and bright with a soft home furnishing for a modern beach home. This is a mixture of two styles, at the client's request. The furniture has a Shaker door, with an Edwardian Chamfered frame (and the doors and drawer-fronts set back into the frame accordingly) Painted in Farrow and Ball grey & white 2 tones porcelain tile floor. The worktops are Quartz `White Water`, features to note are the two-tone colours – the Shaker style chimney mantle accommodating large Induction range cooker, circular solid oak breakfast bar on the island, double Belfast sink with Perrin & Rowe Tap and Quooker boiling tap. Note the perfect location of big wide pan drawers either side of range cooker, Bi-Fold Dresser appliance garage in corner hiding the toaster/blender/mixer etc.. Sheerin Cup handles in chrome, drop down a level TV on oak top matching the breakfast bar, socket position on end of island for phone/laptop, feature front of island with oak-fronted spice drawers and wine rack underneath. The showstopper kitchen is punctuated by the blue skies and green rolling hills of this Omaha home's exterior landscape. The crisp black and white kitchen features a vaulted ceiling with wood ceiling beams, large modern black windows, wood look tile floors, Wolf Subzero appliances, a large kitchen island with seating for six, an expansive dining area with floor to ceiling windows, black and gold island pendants, quartz countertops and a marble tile backsplash. A scullery located behind the kitchen features ample pantry storage, a prep sink, a built-in coffee bar and stunning black and white marble floor tile.

Tiny galley kitchen update. We raised the kitchen window to accommodate cabinets along the window wall. Opened the doorway to the kitchen as much as possible (to 54") so it doesn't feel as enclosed. Added a pantry, broom closet, and under cabinet heat. Shaker cabinets: gray bases and white uppers keep it light and bright. With the hight ceilings we were able to add glass front cabinets with light above the uppers. A farm sink, polished nickel fixtures, pot filler, custom pot rack, and contemporary tile still keep the classic style of a 1902 home.

The living room features a crisp, painted brick fireplace and transom windows for maximum light and view. The vaulted ceiling elevates the space, with symmetrical halls opening off to bedroom areas. Rear doors open out to the patio.

This Kitchen was closed off and had three different ceiling heights. After the remodel and opening up the floor plan with new Wood Look tile floors, gray cabinet island, white cabinets, and shutters - this Kitchen is much more updated!

The inviting atmosphere in this house is palpable. Although the finishes chosen are luxe they remain approachable. Bohemian rugs grace the concrete and wood beam floors. A decorative hood reminiscent of rusty corrugated metal sits atop the expansive cooktop. The down-home feel is subtle and never detracts from the sophisticated aura of the space. The functional design and high quality Medallion cabinetry were our contribution to this gorgeous project and we are proud to have been a part of it.

This Spanish influenced Modern Farmhouse style Kitchen incorporates a variety of textures and finishes to create a calming and functional space to entertain a houseful of guests. The extra large island is in an historic Sherwin Williams green with banquette seating at the end. It provides ample storage and countertop space to prep food and hang around with family. The surrounding wall cabinets are a shade of white that gives contrast to the walls while maintaining a bright and airy feel to the space. Matte black hardware is used on all of the cabinetry to give a cohesive feel. The countertop is a Cambria quartz with grey veining that adds visual interest and warmth to the kitchen that plays well with the white washed brick backsplash. The brick backsplash gives an authentic feel to the room and is the perfect compliment to the deco tile behind the range. The pendant lighting over the island and wall sconce over the kitchen sink add a personal touch and finish while the use of glass globes keeps them from interfering with the open feel of the space and allows the chandelier over the dining table to be the focal lighting fixture.

This beautiful modern farmhouse kitchen and flooring renovation was completed for our clients in Orange County. There are no “before” photos because this room was a part of a new addition. Design & Construction by our team.

Updated kitchen to farmhouse modern. Features include brick tile flooring, glass subway tile, white Shaker cabinets with stainless steel appliances, apron sink, accent lighting inside glass cabinets and under-mount cabinet lighting. Accent walls include white shiplap. Other rooms updated in this project include: mudroom, laundry room, dining room and powder room.

All custom made cabinetry that was color matched to the entire suite of GE Cafe matte white appliances paired with champagne bronze hardware that coordinates beautifully with the Delta faucet and cabinet / drawer hardware. The counter surfaces are Artic White quartz with custom hand painted clay tiles for the entire range wall with custom floating shelves and backsplash. We used my favorite farrow & ball Babouche 223 (yellow) paint for the island and Sherwin Williams 7036 Accessible Beige on the walls. Hanging over the island is a pair of glazed clay pots that I customized into light pendants. We also replaced the builder grade hollow core back door with a custom designed iron and glass security door. The barstools were a fabulous find on Craigslist that we became mixologists with a selection of transparent stains to come up with the perfect shade of teal and we installed brand new bamboo flooring! This was such a fun project to do, even amidst Covid with all that the pandemic delayed, and a much needed burst of cheer as a daily result.
