This kitchen has many interesting elements that set it apart. The sense of openness is created by the raised ceiling and multiple ceiling levels, lighting and light colored cabinets. A custom hood over the stone back splash creates a wonderful focal point with it's traditional style architectural mill work complimenting the islands use of reclaimed wood (as seen on the ceiling as well) transitional tapered legs, and the use of Carrara marble on the island top. We created a space for our homeowners to house their modest wine collection directly off of the kitchen. This is a custom unit with wooden top and pulls. For character and storage we added black box shelves above.

"Vous voulez du thé?!" m'a dit Eliane? Il s'agissait plutôt de refaire toute la cuisine et de créer un nouveau coin bureau dans l'espace salon. Mais ce thé, j'aurais bien envie de le prendre, maintenant, dans ce nouvel environnement. Une cuisine agrandie et complètement ouverte sur le séjour. Un coin bureau dans la véranda, jouissant d'une belle lumière zénithale. Ça donne envie de s'y installer!

This refreshing kitchen is light and bright and features a black walnut countertop with a Waterlox finish. The island provides incredible storage with half a dozen cupboards and the out-of-sight microwave. The display cabinet, at left, features beadboard planks, a puck light and clear shelving to illuminate its contents. Under cabinet lighting also enhances the cheerful vibe of the space. This Pantry off the kitchen really is a showcase and it displays both beautifully and functional. The wine cubbies store 65 wine bottles and is a great use of this space!
