Story LLC
Our clients wanted to add on to their 1950's ranch house, but weren't sure whether to go up or out. We convinced them to go out, adding a Primary Suite addition with bathroom, walk-in closet, and spacious Bedroom with vaulted ceiling. To connect the addition with the main house, we provided plenty of light and a built-in bookshelf with detailed pendant at the end of the hall. The clients' style was decidedly peaceful, so we created a wet-room with green glass tile, a door to a small private garden, and a large fir slider door from the bedroom to a spacious deck. We also used Yakisugi siding on the exterior, adding depth and warmth to the addition. Our clients love using the tub while looking out on their private paradise!

Details Design and Staging
The front view of the cabin hints at the small footprint while a view of the back exposes the expansiveness that is offered across all four stories.
This small 934sf lives large offering over 1700sf of interior living space and additional 500sf of covered decking.

In the quite streets of southern Studio city a new, cozy and sub bathed bungalow was designed and built by us.
The white stucco with the blue entrance doors (blue will be a color that resonated throughout the project) work well with the modern sconce lights.
Inside you will find larger than normal kitchen for an ADU due to the smart L-shape design with extra compact appliances.
The roof is vaulted hip roof (4 different slopes rising to the center) with a nice decorative white beam cutting through the space.
The bathroom boasts a large shower and a compact vanity unit.
Everything that a guest or a renter will need in a simple yet well designed and decorated garage conversion.

This project was a semi-custom build where the client was able to make selections beyond the framing stage. The Morganshire 3-bedroom house plan has it all: convenient owner’s amenities on the main floor, a charming exterior and room for everyone to relax in comfort with a lower-level living space plus 2 guest bedrooms. A traditional plan, the Morganshire has a bright, open concept living room, dining space and kitchen. The L-shaped kitchen has a center island and lots of storage space including a walk-in pantry. The main level features a spacious master bedroom with a sizeable walk-in closet and ensuite. The laundry room is adjacent to the master suite. A half bath and office complete the convenience factors of the main floor. The lower level has two bedrooms, a full bathroom, more storage and a second living room or rec area. Both levels feature access to outdoor living spaces with an upper-level deck and a lower-level deck and/or patio.
MGM Builders
This project started as a cramped cape with little character and extreme water damage, but over the course of several months, it was transformed into a striking modern home with all the bells and whistles. Being just a short walk from Mackworth Island, the homeowner wanted to capitalize on the excellent location, so everything on the exterior and interior was replaced and upgraded. Walls were torn down on the first floor to make the kitchen, dining, and living areas more open to one another. A large dormer was added to the entire back of the house to increase the ceiling height in both bedrooms and create a more functional space. This family camp on Whidbey Island is designed with a main cabin and two small sleeping cabins. The main cabin is a one story with a loft and includes two bedrooms and a kitchen. The cabins are arranged in a semi circle around the open meadow.

The design is governed by cost-effective interventions such as mono-pitched roofs including a hidden roof draining rainwater into the columns on the front patio.

This bungalow was sitting on the market, vacant. The owners had it virtually staged but never realized the furniture in the staged photos was too big for the space. Many potential buyers had trouble visualizing their furniture in this small home.
We came in and brought all the furniture and accessories and it sold immediately. Sometimes when you see a property for sale online and it is virtually staged, the client might not realize it and expects to see the furniture in the home when they visit. When they don't, they start to question the actual size of the property.
We want to create a vibe when you walk in the door. It has to start from the moment you walk in and continue throughout at least the first floor.
