Modern Dining Room in an open floor plan, sits between the Living Room, Kitchen and Backyard Patio. The modern electric fireplace wall is finished in distressed grey plaster. Modern Dining Room Furniture in Black and white is paired with a sculptural glass chandelier. Floor to ceiling windows and modern sliding glass doors expand the living space to the outdoors.

This beautifully-appointed Tudor home is laden with architectural detail. Beautifully-formed plaster moldings, an original stone fireplace, and 1930s-era woodwork were just a few of the features that drew this young family to purchase the home, however the formal interior felt dark and compartmentalized. The owners enlisted Amy Carman Design to lighten the spaces and bring a modern sensibility to their everyday living experience. Modern furnishings, artwork and a carefully hidden TV in the dinette picture wall bring a sense of fresh, on-trend style and comfort to the home. To provide contrast, the ACD team chose a juxtaposition of traditional and modern items, creating a layered space that knits the client's modern lifestyle together the historic architecture of the home.

The dining room off the kitchen incorporates an antique dining set the homeowners acquired a number of years ago. We replicated 1 chair to make a set of 6 since there had only been 5 chairs originally.

Eldersburg residence once a 1990's dining room with striped wall paper and traditional furnishings has been changed to a beautiful modern rustic design. Dated striped wallpaper was removed and the walls were painted a beautiful robin's egg blue which opened up the space. A builders grade brass chandelier was replaced with a classic country black iron. The addition of the farm house table and linen tufted parson chairs will allow for many family gatherings. The heavy traditional swagged bay window treatments were replaced with simple light and airy geometric patterned curtain panels. Finished off with a beautiful elegant 8x10 rug, which added a softness to the existing carpeted floor.

To eliminate an inconsistent layout, we removed the wall dividing the dining room from the living room and added a polished brass and ebonized wood handrail to create a sweeping view into the living room. To highlight the family’s passion for reading, we created a beautiful library with custom shelves flanking a niche wallpapered with Flavor Paper’s bold Glow print with color-coded book spines to add pops of color. Tom Dixon pendant lights, acrylic chairs, and a geometric hide rug complete the look.

Every detail of this European villa-style home exudes a uniquely finished feel. Our design goals were to invoke a sense of travel while simultaneously cultivating a homely and inviting ambience. We transformed this Florida home into a modern beach-themed second home with thoughtful designs for entertaining and family time. Our Austin studio designed this dark-themed highrise condo, creating an elegant, classy space with interesting decor elements. The dark background inverts the usual concept of whites and neutrals yet creates a similar impact of beautifully highlighting the decor aspects. The striking artwork in the living room makes a statement, as does the art in the dining area. In the kitchen and library, the dark background makes the blue and red chairs pop. In the bedroom, the soft furnishings, stylish grey and white headboard, and classy decor create a soothing sanctuary to relax in. --- Project designed by the Atomic Ranch featured modern designers at Breathe Design Studio. Full Home Styling. Interior Design Consultation and advisor to customer. The Brief was to take a new build home and add character to it through the interior decor. Advice was given through shopping list and moodboard to the client. Minor paint work on feature wall that broke up the open plan kitchen dining room for a laid back living atmosphere.

The finished living room at our Kensington apartment renovation. My client wanted a furnishing make-over, so there was no building work required in this stage of the project. We split the area into the Living room and Dining Room - we will post more images over the coming days.. We wanted to add a splash of colour to liven the space and we did this though accessories, cushions, artwork and the dining chairs. The space works really well and and we changed the bland original living room into a room full of energy and character.. The start of the process was to create floor plans, produce a CAD layout and specify all the furnishing. We designed two bespoke bookcases and created a large window seat hiding the radiators. We also installed a new fireplace which became a focal point at the far end of the room.. I hope you like the photos. We love getting comments from you, so please let me know your thoughts.
