Storage Solutions - A vanity grooming rack (VGC) is a must-have for curling irons and blow-dryers. “Loft” Living originated in Paris when artists established studios in abandoned warehouses to accommodate the oversized paintings popular at the time. Unexpected materials and objects worked to creat the subte beauty in this kitchen. Semi-precious stone was used on the kitchen island, and can be back-lit while entertaining. The dining table was custom crafted to showcase a vintage United Airlines sign, complimenting the hand blown glass chandelier inspired by koi fish that hangs above. A transitional kitchen where the marriage of white oak and warm white cabinetry, adorned with elegant bronze accents, sets the stage. The grand island, featuring a soapstone waterfall end on one side and an inviting open side on the other, takes center stage. Custom designed and lacquered slatted curved ends to the overheads add texture and interest to the chalky matte cabinetry The use of existing timber that had been used in other areas of the home, not wanting to waste the beautiful pieces, I incorporated these into the design The kitchen needed a modern transformation, selection of chalky black slabbed doors are carefully considered whilst detailed curved slatted ends bounce natural light, concrete grey matte benches, reflective glass custom coloured back splash and solid timber details creates a beautifully modern industrial elegant interior.

This project is a beautiful example of stylish open plan living. Featuring tall cabinetry in Classic FF Carbon Grey paired with Advance Classic FF Merino on the base cabinets. The Silestone worktop in Dessert Silver has a suede finish with a 20mm shark-nose edging detail. The open shelving in Mountain Robina completes the contemporary monochrome look.
