This newly retired couple wanted their bedroom to be fresh and as beachy as possible. We really edited the beachy decorative elements to keep it from going over the top. The white wainscot and woven headboard hint to the beach concept and the sabot painting and seashell decor bring the concept home. Laura and her two children live in a two bedrooms apartment. Their first need was combine an unique space for each child, a girl (9) and a boy (4) in a same room. We proposed a flexible division materialized with a curtain to be able to separate or connect the space as needed. The two areas were personalized with different wallpapers in the same color range in order to create a harmonized ambiance. In Laura's bedroom, the highlighted object was the printed fabric headboard, which was combined with neutral colors and natural materials. It was included a desk and extra storage to make a small office.

Project: Palazzo Margherita Bernalda Restoration Elements used: Encaustic Tiles, Antique Limestone, antique stone fountain, antique stone fireplace. Discover the cuisine, wines and history of the Basilicata region at the luxurious Palazzo Margherita. Set in the village of Bernalda, the well-preserved villa is close to the region’s white-sand beaches and the famed Sassi caves. The property was recently renovated by the Coppola family with decorator Jacques Grange, imbuing its luxurious traditional interiors with modern style. Start each day of your stay with an included breakfast, then head out to read in the courtyard garden, lounge under an umbrella on the terrace by the pool or sip a mimosa at the al-fresco bar. Have dinner at one of the outdoor tables, then finish the evening in the media room. The property also has its own restaurant and bar, which are open to the public but separate from the house. Traditional architecture, lush gardens and a few modern furnishings give the villa the feel of a grand old estate brought back to life. In the media room, a vaulted ceiling with ornate moldings speaks to the home’s past, while striped wallpaper in neutral tones is a subtly contemporary touch. The eat-in kitchen has a dramatically arched Kronos stone ceiling and a long, welcoming table with bistro-style chairs. The nine suite-style bedrooms are each decorated with their own scheme and each have en-suite bathrooms, creating private retreats within the palazzo. There are three bedrooms with queen beds on the garden level; all three have garden access and one has a sitting area. Upstairs, there are six bedrooms with king beds, all of which have access to either a Juliet balcony, private balcony or furnished terrace. TAB refreshed what was an all cream and boring master bedroom into this dark and moody yet feminine retreat. It is okay to have fun with your 5th wall and paint it, make it a feature with wallcovering, or add a treatment with wood. Another item that some fear is wallpaper...well in this space we did apply this peel and stick wallpaper mural that was installed by the home owners to help with the budget! The bed and dresser was existing to the clients but we wanted to make the space a little more fun by adding vintage looking cream sidetables with storage to offset the dark woods, offset the masculin navy paint with feminine blush tones, and added a tone of texture and softness with the pillows and throws. The large chrystal chandelier and lovely lamps reflect a beautiul glow off of the wonderful mirrows flanking the bed. To finish off the space we found a large, velvet soft area rug to center everything on that shared all the new colors. This project was an e-design project with a strict budget that we were able to beat and get done in record breaking time...and it was so beautiful that, as you can see, it was freatured in a local magazine!

Sometimes what a small bedroom needs is a rich wall colour, to create a cosy inviting space. Here we have Yellow Pink, by Little Greene Paint Company looking fabulous with Wimborne White on the woodwork and ceilings and Elmore fabric curtains in Feather Grey by Romo. We have managed to squeeze a small double bed in, with a bedside chest of drawers and a beautiful linen cupboard too. Check out the original tiled fireplace, what beautiful soft grey tiles, a dream to match up to.

Выступающую несущую колонну слева от кровати решено было для симметрии отзеркалить справа. получившийся альков оклеили уютными обоями в цветах. Большие зеркала, выполненные по моему эскизу в местной мастерской, усиливают эффект симметрии, и добавляют света и воздуха. Кроме того, зеркало справа, расположенное вблизи от мини-гардеробной за шторой, позволяет видеть себя в рост при примерке. Вместо изголовья, в целях экономии, использована пара высоких подушек.
