Here is an architecturally built house from the early 1970's which was brought into the new century during this complete home remodel by opening up the main living space with two small additions off the back of the house creating a seamless exterior wall, dropping the floor to one level throughout, exposing the post an beam supports, creating main level on-suite, den/office space, refurbishing the existing powder room, adding a butlers pantry, creating an over sized kitchen with 17' island, refurbishing the existing bedrooms and creating a new master bedroom floor plan with walk in closet, adding an upstairs bonus room off an existing porch, remodeling the existing guest bathroom, and creating an in-law suite out of the existing workshop and garden tool room.

Our clients decided to take their childhood home down to the studs and rebuild into a contemporary three-story home filled with natural light. We were struck by the architecture of the home and eagerly agreed to provide interior design services for their kitchen, three bathrooms, and general finishes throughout. The home is bright and modern with a very controlled color palette, clean lines, warm wood tones, and variegated tiles.

The shower floor is designed in a Skyline Honed 1 x 1 Hexagon Marble Mosaic tile. Complementing the shower floor and tile walls, as well as creating a striking contrast, the existing vanity was replaced with a custom dual floating vanity from Dura Supreme Cabinetry, finished in Maple Shell Gray. The vanity is topped with a gorgeous Torquay Cambria quartz countertop and accented with Top Knobs black hardware. Two Helios rectangular frameless mirrors with integrated LED lighting and a Kohler recessed medicine cabinet complete this stunning contemporary bathroom remodel.

The Hall bath is the next beautiful stop, a custom-made vanity, finished in Cedar Path, accented with champagne bronze fixtures. This bathroom is an awe-inspiring green oasis, with stunning gold embedded medicine cabinets, and Glazed Porcelain tile in Dark Gray Hexagon to finish off on the floor.

The two-sided fireplace got a facelift, with all-new contemporary tile running from floor to ceiling, accentuating the 12’ ceilings. Accent tile in 12×24 Anatolia Mayfair Strada Ash was featured on both the fireplace and the shower walls. To continue the contemporary feel, a new freestanding tub was installed in front of the fireplace with a floor-mounted tub filler.

In the primary bathroom, we reconfigured the shower area to lower the ceiling. The clients still wanted no shower door, but by lowering the ceiling, we were able to keep the steam from escaping as quickly as it did before, thus providing a solution to the cold showers.

Reconfiguration of a dilapidated bathroom and separate toilet in a Victorian house in Walthamstow village. The original toilet was situated straight off of the landing space and lacked any privacy as it opened onto the landing. The original bathroom was separate from the WC with the entrance at the end of the landing. To get to the rear bedroom meant passing through the bathroom which was not ideal. The layout was reconfigured to create a family bathroom which incorporated a walk-in shower where the original toilet had been and freestanding bath under a large sash window. The new bathroom is slightly slimmer than the original this is to create a short corridor leading to the rear bedroom. The ceiling was removed and the joists exposed to create the feeling of a larger space. A rooflight sits above the walk-in shower and the room is flooded with natural daylight. Hanging plants are hung from the exposed beams bringing nature and a feeling of calm tranquility into the space.

A family of four with two young girls and cats needed a brand new master bath to accommodate a family member with MS. They tasked us with creating a luxurious master bath in a modern rustic style that was ADA-accessible and could accommodate the client's walker and wheelchair in the future. Their key issues were that the shower was relatively small, with a curb the client had to step over. They also had a large jacuzzi tub with a tub deck built around it, but the couple never used it. The main bathroom only had one vanity with minimal counter space available, and the dated finishes and materials looked tired - so they were more than ready for a beautiful transformation. To create an ADA-accessible main bath, we relocated the shower to an interior corner, allowing for the addition of a larger ADA-accessible shower with zero entry and a bench the client could easily transfer onto for bathing. The arrangement of this space would also allow for a walker and wheelchair to easily move through the walkways for access to the shower. We moved the toilet to where the shower had been located originally with ADA accessibility features and installed luxurious double vanities along the entire vanity wall, with a modern linen tower cabinet for added storage. Since the client loved the modern rustic aesthetic, we incorporated their chosen style with elements like the Calacatta porcelain tile, cabinet hardware, mason jar lights, and wood-framed mirrors.

In this very compact guest/powder room bath (51 sq. ft), a Calacatta gold marble countertop, backsplash, shower threshold, shower niche and wall caps are seamlessly combined with a Calacatta gold porcelain wall and shower pan tile for the shower and vanity. A 12" round undermount Bates & Bates Donna sink was paired with an off-set single lever Grohe Allure faucet. A wall hung Lyptus sink base with Schaub Italian Design Mosaic cabinet pulls is complimented by a matching custom medicine cabinet which is recessed into the wall with the appearance of a simple mirror frame. Hinged LED vertical lights are mounted on the medicine cabinet frame, allowing the user to angle the lights in for perfect grooming illumination. Guest Bathroom - Beautiful Studs-Out-Remodel in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. We gutted this house "to the studs," taking it down to its original floor plan. Drywall, insulation, flooring, tile, cabinetry, doors and windows, trim and base, plumbing, the roof, landscape, and ceiling fixtures were stripped away, leaving nothing but beams and unfinished flooring. Essentially, we demolished the home's interior to rebuild it from scratch.
