A large steam shower was the main request for this remodeled Master bath. By eliminating the corner tub and repositioning the vanities side by side these clients gained a soothing steam shower and a gracious amount of storage.

This Grant Park house was built in 1999. With that said, this bathroom was dated, builder grade with a tiny shower (3 ft x 3 ft) and a large jacuzzi-style 90s tub. The client was interested in a much larger shower, and he really wanted a sauna if squeeze it in there. Because this bathroom was tight, I decided we could potentially go into the large walk-in closet and expand to include a sauna. The client was looking for a refreshing coastal theme, a feel good space that was completely different than what existed. The homeowners envisioned a family vacation spot — just steps from the sand — with the ability to accommodate up to 14 guests. We designed a whole-home remodel, transforming upstairs rooms into an open, modern kitchen kitchen and a great room for entertaining. Bunk beds and built-ins maximize the sleeping spaces. Now, three generations can enjoy the beach together!

This master bathroom was remodeled with a deep Kohler Mariposa soaking tub surrounded by Champagne Gloss beveled subway tile. The walk-in shower flooring features Highland Dark Greige tile from Bedrosians with Cemento Rasato Bianco shower tile walls. Featuring a shower tile niche with Highland White Herringbone tile. The faucets and fixtures are Kohler Parallel in vibrant brushed nickel for a transitional design.

These two en suite master bathrooms are a perfect place to unwind and relax. Both rooms have been remodeled to be distinct and to suit both of our client's needs and tastes. The first bathroom showcases a large deep overmount jetted tub with surrounding deck, deck mounted tub filler and hand shower, a vanity area and water closet. Alluring Mother of Pearl mosaic tile shimmers in the arched recessed window area, side splashes of tub, as well as on the full height of the walls on the vanity side. Large format Nolita Ambra tile was installed on the floor as well as on apron of the tub deck. Beautiful Taj Mahal quartzite vanity tops on painted existing cabinetry bring together the various finishes in the bathroom. In the adjoining room there is a walk-in shower, vanity, and water closet. The Large 24x48 Nolita tile is the focal point and absolutely stunning. The tile has been installed on the floor as well as on the walls inside the shower up to the high ceiling. The grandeur of the walk-in shower is magnificently elegant and makes one feel like they are in a 5-Star resort and spa. Master bathroom renovation. This bathroom was a major undertaking. Where you see the mirrored doors, it was a single vanity with a sink. It made more sense to have a double vanity on the other side next to the shower but I was missing a medicine cabinet so we decided to add a ROBERN 72" long medicine cabinet in the wall that used to be a small towel closet. The arched entry way was created after moving the wall and removing the door into a dark space where you see the toilet & bidet. The travertine floors are heated (a nice addition at is not expensive to do). Added a 70" free-standing stone tub by Clarke tubs (amazing tub), I love venetian plaster because it's so timeless and very durable. It's not used much these days probably because it's so labor intensive and expensive so I did the plastering myself. We raised up the floor and opted for no shower doors that I've wanted for many, many years after seeing this idea in France.
