Master (Primary) bathroom renovation transformation! One of many transformation projects we have designed and executed for this lovely empty nesting couple. For this space, we took a heavy, dated and uninspiring bathroom and turned it into one that is inspiring, soothing and highly functional. The general footprint of the bathroom did not change allowing the budget to stay contained and under control. The client is over the moon happy with their new bathroom.

In this 1989 Contemporary bath remodel we brought a new sense of balance without losing the natural asymmetry and other key characteristics that create this postmodern gem. We added strong runs of shape and color, and utilized the space by recreating the floor plan in a way that better suits the needs of modern living.

This adorable beach cottage is in the heart of the village of La Jolla in San Diego. The goals were to brighten up the space and be the perfect beach get-away for the client whose permanent residence is in Arizona. Some of the ways we achieved the goals was to place an extra high custom board and batten in the great room and by refinishing the kitchen cabinets (which were in excellent shape) white. We created interest through extreme proportions and contrast. Though there are a lot of white elements, they are all offset by a smaller portion of very dark elements. We also played with texture and pattern through wallpaper, natural reclaimed wood elements and rugs. This was all kept in balance by using a simplified color palate minimal layering. I am so grateful for this client as they were extremely trusting and open to ideas. This is a budget conscious remodel of an original bathroom that was really sad and tired. A large garden tub that was never used and a poorly constructed one piece leaky shower along with a vanity that was 6 inches under normal height. We completely gutted the bathroom and transformed the cabinetry outside of the bathroom into a convenient ironing area with pullout laundry bins to make for more room in the walk-in closet. We used reclaimed wood to enhance the existing new closet doors and for smarter storage and display of the client's treasures.
