Organic boutique master bathroom remodel

This Master Bathroom remodel included removing a drop in platform tub and in its place a freestanding furniture style tub featured. An organic style was captured through the used of a curved floor line in the tile. The curved line imparts a sene of moevement in the design and flow from water features. The sliced stone used as vertical accent was hand placed by the tile installer to eliminate the tile outlines sometimes seen in lesser quality installations. The agate design glass tiles used as the back splash and mirror surround delight the eye. The warm brown greige cabinetry have custom designed drawer interiors to work around the plumbing underneath. Floating vanities add visual space to the room.

This upper master bathroom was a full remodel. The cabinets needed to be replaced, allowing for a full update to the space. Custom cabinetry paired with new quartzite countertops gives a fresh look. Pebble flooring adds warmth and texture to the space. The full height backsplash is a nice backdrop adding color to the space and offering a grounding feature topped off with round mirrors to soften the hard angles in the space.

This Master bathroom retreat features a spa like experience with a bathtub that has micro jets, tsbuo massage jetts, jaccuzzi jets, chromatherapy, aroma therapy, a heater and it is self cleaning. It does it all! The wet area also includes a shower system with a digital diverter that allows you to select your temperature and which section of body sprays you'd like to use or turn them all on with the rain head shower, for the full experiece. The feature tile is hand glazed and a variation of blues with a little sparkle. We used chrome accents in the plumbing selections, Schluter trim, and light fixtures to give the space a modern feel with clean lines. The vanity area has an LED medicine cabinet with lots of storage space and additional lighting on the interior part of the cabinet. The closet features tons of storage as well as two spectacular light fixtures.

When this Harbor Island home was originally purchased, the new owner knew that a lot work was needed to transform the whole home to fit his more contemporary style. The Big Sky Design team added new finishes, fireplaces, window treatments and completed a full kitchen and master bath renovation. In the kitchen they added a new island, new custom stained wood detailed bulkhead, Cambria Quartz countertop and backsplash as well as custom finished cabinetry. The master bath has a sleek new tiled wall, all new plumbing and fixtures, lighting and custom concrete sinks. With numerous windows around the perimeter of the home, the space feels open, light and airy. The home is surrounded by palm trees on the exterior all at the perfect heigh to provide privacy and a touch of classic Wrightsville Beach feel. This downstairs bathroom proves a point! Just because it's in the basement it shouldn't be any less important than any other bathroom. A beautiful 1970's mahogany cabinet was retrofitted to use in this space. The original top surface was less than perfect so it was purchased at a great price. The counter is finished with a quartz top and the backsplash is finished with glass mosaic tiles. In-floor heating keeps the ceramic tile at the perfect temperature. A five foot long shower was used for added resale value, if the new home owner insisted on another bath, the room is always available. A rain head shower is used as well as a hand held unit. A simple white subway tile with a dark grey grout adds subtle impact without a huge expense. The shower is completed with 8 mm glass doors.

浴室リフォームのデザイン、レイアウト、費用

浴室リフォームの技法には大きく分けて「在来工法」と「ユニットバス (システムバス)」の2通りがあります。

在来工法：「在来工法」とは、壁、床、窓枠、浴槽などを実際の現場で左官、大工、タイル職人等が作り上げていく技法で、浴室の大きさや形に合わせて自由にレイアウトをデザインできたり、趣のあるタイルで壁を演出することができたりといった点が利点と言えます。昔ながらのこの技法には、費用が高い、工期が長い、年数が経つと水漏れの心配がある、などの注意点があります。
ユニットバス（システムバス）：比較的新しいこの技法は、予め工場で生産されたパーツ (壁、バスタブ、シャワーユニットなど) を現場で組み立てていく技法で、防水性、断熱性に優れ、工期を短縮できるだけでなく、費用も大幅に抑えることができます。在来工法と比べると、デザインやレイアウトの自由度が低い点が欠点としてあげられます。

浴室にプラスアルファでお風呂タイムをもっと楽しく

介護が必要な方には、浴室に浴槽手すりやシャワーチェア、すべり止めマットなどの安全グッズを使って、癒やしの時間を安全にゆっくりと楽しんでもらいましょう。浴室に床暖房を取り入れると、冬場のあのヒンヤリ感がなくなり、ヒートショックの防止に効果が期待できます。大粒のお湯が頭上から降り注ぐように全身を包み込むレインシャワー水栓は、効率的に身体を温めてくれます。また最近では、浴室テレビを装備して、あたたかいお湯に浸かりながらテレビ番組や映画を楽しむ方も増えています。ライフスタイルにあわせて、浴室をカスタマイズしてみてはいかがでしょうか？

ラクラク片付け、快適な浴室！

シャンプーやコンディショナーのボトルや、浴槽洗いのブラシは、ワイヤーラック、つっぱりコーナーラック、吸盤シェルフなど壁面収納グッズを活用して、浴室の使いやすい場所に設置しましょう。ボディスポンジなど、肌に触れるものはお掃除グッズから離れた場所に置き、しっかり水切りができるよう吸盤フックなどにかけるといいでしょう。また、浴室内には必要なアイテムだけをセレクトして置き、余分なモノは浴室外の脱衣所の棚に保管するなどの工夫も、お風呂場を清潔に保つコツです。風呂ふたも、フックやスタンド等を使って収納し、しっかり乾燥させれば、カビやぬめりの発生を防ぐことができます。

ホテルのようなバスルームをつくるコツ

ホテルライクなバスルームに誰しもが憧れたことがあるでしょう。すっきりとした収納、余計なものやプライベート感がない、トイレとバスが一緒の三点ユニットでも清潔感があるのがホテルのバスルームの特徴です。このようなシンプルな印象のバスルームにするコツは、収納をできるかぎり1カ所にまとめるということです。タオルや着替え、トイレットペーパーや洗剤など溢れがち (しかもバスルームに置きがち) な日用品のストックは、必要分だけをコンパクトに整理して、同素材や同系色の収納ボックスやラックにまとめることで、全体を統一感ある印象に見せます。ところで、このようなホテルライクなバスルームはアメリカのバスルームが元になっていますが、アメリカの Houzz サイトの特集記事 (Story) には、“Bathroom 1 1/2” や “Bathroom 3/4” などと表記されているものがあります。これは、バスルームを「バスタブ」、「シャワー」、「トイレ」、「洗面台」の4つ分けて、それぞれ 1/4 と考え、4つすべてある場合は ”Bathroom 1”、それに加えてトイレと洗面台がもう1カ所ずつある場合は “Bathroom 1 1/2”、シャワー、トイレ、洗面台だけでバスタブがない場合は “Bathroom 3/4” のように表現されます。
