My husband and I looked for homes for months and happen to find this home based on a few construction pictures. Those pictures demonstrated quality that we hadn't seen in other homes and sure enough when we walked in it the first time, not only was it so beautiful and custom, but it was sturdy and built with so much thought and care. We continue to comment on this all of the time as we live in it. This very thoughtful design has led us to enjoy an energy efficiency in our home that we didn't know we would have. Our energy bills are significantly cheaper than what we paid in a home nearly 1/4 the size. Finally, working with Matt has been a pleasure because he is a genuinely kind person. The relationship continues well after buying a home. He makes himself available to questions and we have consulted him on other ideas which is a great thing because we love spending time with him! We could not recommend Matt Powers and his team more highly!”

“Remodeled whole house!! HGI was on time and fast, but took care of the tiniest details. Workman ship on tile and flooring was clean and professional. Resurfaced fireplace from old brick to beautiful new stone! Painting was neat and professional, no sloppy work. Fixtures were replaced and updated. Popcorn ceilings removed, new bathroom counters and fixtures. Design was as good as construction, maybe better. Could not have been happier. Here’s the bottom line - work was professionally done on time and at a cost that was reasonable. I was consulted and communicated with almost daily about progress. None of those horror stories you hear about regarding experience with other contractors not showing up or shabby work. Hire HGI with no worries, the best, ask for Alex.”

They were able to provide a wide variety of material selection but yet not an overwhelming selection of: fabrics, paint samples, rock and flooring. They also guided us after the projects in regards to buying art and finishing touches that helped tie the entire look together. “Curb Appeals remodeled our newly purchased home throughout and even added approx. 1000 sq. ft. to an upstairs attic space (adding a bedroom, bath, office and family room). The owner was very hands on and has an outstanding eye for color and materials. His vision for what could be done to our spaces was innovative and suited our taste perfectly. They basically gave us a new home within the existing walls of a home built in 1988. They replaced windows, doors, floors, fixtures, cabinets and hardware throughout. We added an HVAC unit, new water heaters, moved a gas line, added a dormer, insulation, attic space and lighting throughout the house. They were thoughtful and respectful while in our home for several months because of the scope of the project. I would recommend them highly.”

“Partial remodel of a 1939 Georgian home in the Southgate neighborhood in Houston. Work included partial remodel of two bathrooms, install of a new tankless water heater and solar attic fan, install of a full deck in the Attic, new concrete walkway, 2 new doors, hardwood floor install in the kitchen , etc. Work done to a very good quality standard. Excellent communications with Company Owner Greg Simmons, who was a regular presence on the job site. The 2 month project completed on schedule, at end-January 2016.. Would highly recommend Greg and B&W for similar projects !!”
