She took time to understand how we may need the house to flow within the plot and through the existing house, and created the double and single extension and reconfiguration of our small cottage in a village conservation area to double the existing footprint and create a home we love. “We worked with Rachel on a kitchen-diner extension and refit. We are extremely pleased with the results. There were some constraints with the design due to existing buildings and walls and had been advised elsewhere that we would probably have to have a flat roof. Rachel suggested we use a zinc roof instead. It is surprisingly attractive, as well as durable, and the roof will comfortably outlive us. Rachel was able to put us in touch with an excellent local building company and the whole process was efficient, timely and within our budget.”
