“I hired Gabriele and his company, Geometra Design in June 2012 to design a 3,500 square foot, 2 storey home that I will be building in south Etobicoke. Gabriele was able to complete concept design, committee of adjustment application and meeting, building permit design and application in less then 5 months. He was able to accomodate all aspects of the building permit requirements, including mechanical engineer, structural engineer and final renderings. His professionism and approach to the project, including deadlines was unsurpassed. He was able to facilitate all my needs, from design to building permit application (which in Toronto in not easy). His knowledge of the new digital building permit application requirements, made my application process very easy. I was told at the City of Toronto building department that most people do not have all the documents in the required format, but my application was perfect. I am very pleased with his work ethic and ability to respond to all requests. He was very easy to work with and I would recommend Gabriele and his company to anyone who is looking for a knowledgable architect, who can take any project from start to finish with ease. “I hired William Dewson Architects to design a summer cottage in Georgian Bay on a 5 acre island. Our first challenge was to figure out the site plan and where to put the cottage given numerous zoning restrictions and other natural fators. “We engaged Lindy Consulting to provide some plans to renovate the 3rd floor of our house which was an unused portion of our house which contained two bedrooms and which we were using as additional storage space. Our plan was to move our master bedroom to this space and add a full washroom. We met with Steven and Annette to discuss our ideas and how we envisaged the space and our estimated budget. They came back to us the following week with some preliminary sketches that impressed us. We then gave them the mandate to prepare full drawings and once approved by us, they managed the project from completing the drawings, getting them approved, and seeing the project through to completion. We were quite hands-on in the decision making but they truly took ownership of the project and had our best interests in mind throughout. Although we ended up spending more than we budgeted (which was as a result of our decision to upgrade bathroom appliances, flooring etc.), we are really pleased with the final result.”
