Walk into the kitchen in this Poway / Rancho Bernardo, San Diego home and it's impossible to miss this gorgeous 2,000 bottle, custom wine cellar showpiece. Completed in 2018, the cellar is complete with custom walnut stained poplar wine racking, rolling ladder for out of reach bottles, and much, much more. Against each window into the kitchen are floor to ceiling frames showcasing label out, metal racking to add a bit of modern flair. Two high reveal display rows circle the entire room, showcasing this homeowner's best bottles and designed to be angled perfectly to ensure the corks stay wet for long term storage. An island in the middle of the room acts as a great spot to open and decant wines, and integrated into each side are custom pieces of cabinetry and room for side displayed large format bottles. Also integrated into the racking is a a small countertop and glass rack. Our client purchased this home and realized he was never going to use the formal dining room, and one thing that I highly believe in is we should use our homes the way we want to live in them… Thus his dream of a wine room was soon underway. We spent many months planning, designing, revising the designs, to make sure this investment was going to be exactly what he wanted. The results truly tell the story. No detail was left unfinished: from the hand stained walnut cabinets, to the precise countertop ogee edging seamlessly flowing into the walnut cabinet edging. Custom trim at the HVAC ceiling vents as well as the wine cooler vent at the toe kick. Dimmable lighting all around, speakers system, optic clear glass doors with custom family name etching. This is truly a meeting place, entertaining paradise, and remarkable home wine cellar.

This basement features A climate controlled glass enclosed wine storage system. The racking is made of teak. The basement ceiling is a tongue and groove wood ceiling stained to match the doors and trimwork throughout the house. We added brick veneer to multiple walls in the space to create the feeling of an old world cellar. The space is equipped with a wet bar. The cabinets are a rich dark stained cherry with raised panel doors and drawers with Cambria counter top. We added under cabinet lighting which really shows off the brick detail. The winding staircase is finished to match the wet bar cabinetry.

This beautiful home is located in West Vancouver BC. This family came to SGDI in the very early stages of design. They had architectural plans for their home, but needed a full interior package to turn constructions drawings into a beautiful liveable home. Boasting fantastic views of the water, this home has a chef’s kitchen equipped with a Wolf/Sub-Zero appliance package and a massive island with comfortable seating for 5. No detail was overlooked in this home. The master ensuite is a huge retreat with marble throughout, steam shower, and raised soaker tub overlooking the water with an adjacent 2 way fireplace to the mater bedroom. Frame-less glass was used as much as possible throughout the home to ensure views were not hindered. The basement boasts a large custom temperature controlled 150sft wine room.
