A new side extension allows for a generous new kitchen with direct link to the garden. Big generous sliding doors allow for fluid movement between the interior and the exterior. A big roof light was designed to flood the space with natural light. An exposed beam crossed the roof light and ceiling and gave us the opportunity to express it with a nice vivid colour which gives personality to the space.

A new dining room chandelier was coordinated with the kitchen lighting.

Originally trying to paint the cabinets, they quickly realized that refacing would be a more permanent and aesthetically pleasing look using the refacing method. New quartz countertops and a mosaic backsplash complete the design. This kitchen is also more functional with a dining area, complete with bar stools. Satin nickel pulls add another textural element for a Transitional style.

This warm and welcoming home is refreshing to walk into on many levels. EKB Home designed and built this beautiful kitchen for our client building their new Stonemill home. The combination of black with white cabinets was repeated with the quartz tops, while adding just a touch of stained wood for warmth. Shaker doors were paired with black slab doors to bring a touch of contemporary into the transitional design.
