This kitchen was designed for cooking, baking, and candy making. We tiled the main work triangle flooring for durability and easy cleaning. The client can cook and bake all day using the new 48” pro range and 36” induction cooktop. Countertop space is not lacking in this two island design. Taj Mahal quartzite countertops are beautiful and great for prepping dough or a cold surface for rolling candy. Fieldstone Cabinetry in walnut with a natural finish sprinkled with some macadamia painted finish gives the kitchen an elegant home feel mixed with all the professional appliances. I love the double stainless steel hoods. This kitchen has it all from form to function.

This client wanted to have their kitchen as their centerpiece for their house. As such, I designed this kitchen to have a dark walnut natural wood finish with timeless white kitchen island combined with metal appliances. The entire home boasts an open, minimalistic, elegant, classy, and functional design, with the living room showcasing a unique vein cut silver travertine stone showcased on the fireplace. Warm colors were used throughout in order to make the home inviting in a family-friendly setting. Project designed by Denver, Colorado interior designer Margarita Bravo. She serves Denver as well as surrounding areas such as Cherry Hills Village, Englewood, Greenwood Village, and Bow Mar. Huggy Bear Quaker style door in Cherry with Nutmeg stain. Island is Cherry with Slate stain. Backsplash is split-face travertine. Custom paneled hood. Cambria Cardiff Cream countertops. Wolf gas range.

In this kitchen renovation we installed Medallion Silverline Lancaster Cherry Cabinets with Chestnut stain accented with a Medallion Gold Potters Mill Cherry Mission arched valance 4x60 with Chestnut stain accented with Amerock caramel bronze pull. For the countertops, we installed Cambria Quartz surfacing in Bradshaw color with bullnose edge. The backsplash was created using 3x6 Durango tile with Daltile stone radiance glass and stone pieces with a pearl grout. An Elkay sink with Kohler stainless steel faucet. On the floor porcelain wood look tile in light Chocolate was installed.

THE SETUP Senior Designer Diana Burton’s client loved her sixties-era home – it just needed some work. The cozy galley kitchen was narrow and mostly closed off from the family room. A pass-through window served as a limited pipeline for treats and chatter. The appliances were failing, too. It was simply time for an overhaul. Design Objectives: Remove load bearing wall and open kitchen to the family room Omit large unused fireplace in family room Increase work surfaces and overall storage solutions Dedicated small countertop appliance storage Seating for 3 or 4 at island Add pantry storage Offer solution for lack of mudroom Upgrade all appliances THE REMODEL Design Challenges: Finding a location to hide structural support for new beam Reworking awkward configuration of existing walls Adding a walk-in pantry Creating mudroom storage Allowing room for large sectional in family room Design Solutions: Add a discreet column by the fridge to hide essential support Flush out wall by bath to be even with the range wall, where the new walk in pantry exists Use void space behind new wall for large appliance garage Create combination walk in pantry/mudroom by adding bench with shoe storage and hooks Maintain island depth for comfortable seating without infringing on space for the sectional THE RENEWED SPACE This cramped, dated kitchen has a new lease on life! Opening it to the family room dramatically transformed the space. Diana’s client now has plenty of storage, a big island for food prep, and an open-concept space that’s perfect for entertaining and hanging out with friends and family.
