Homeowner needed more light, more room, more style. We knocked out the wall between kitchen and dining room and replaced old window with a larger one. New stained cabinets, Soapstone countertops, and full-height tile backsplash turned this once inconvenient,d ark kitchen into an inviting and beautiful space. We relocated the refrigerator and applied cabinet panels. The new duel-fuel range provides the utmost in cooking options. A farm sink brings another appealing design element into the clean-up area. New lighting plan includes undercabinet lighting, recessed lighting in the dining room, and pendant light fixtures over the island. New wood flooring was woven in with existing to create a seamless expanse of beautiful hardwood. New wood beams were stained to match the floor bringing even more warmth and charm to this kitchen.

This open concept remodel is the home to new Rustic Hickory kitchen cabinets from Dura Supreme Cabinetry shown in the Morel stained finish. A bar area is tucked behind a stunning weathered bar door, opening up to reveal beautiful Classic White cabinets with open shelves for decoratively displaying a collection of dishware. The seating at the peninsula of this rustic hickory kitchen gives a graceful nod towards nature. The branches in the seat mirror the other organic elements in this design and the landscape that surround this home. Working closely with the builder, Madrone Construction, and the home owners, Patty Jones of Patty Jones Design, LLC selected and designed interior finishes for this custom home which features Sapele wood cabinetry, Hubbardton Forge Light Fixtures, modern cabinetry, and solid slab counter tops. Patty also selected exterior finishes – stain and paint colors, stone, roof color, etc. Patty was involved early through the initial planning working with the home architectural designer, Joey Shaw of Homeland Designs, LLC including preparing the presentation board and documentation for the Architectural Review Committee. All materials and products were sourced locally.

This custom home utilized an artist's eye, as one of the owners is a painter. The details in this home were inspired! From the fireplace and mirror design in the living room, to the boar's head installed over vintage mirrors in the bar, there are many unique touches that further customize this home. With open living spaces and a master bedroom tucked in on the first floor, this is a forever home for our clients. The use of color and wallpaper really help make this home special. With lots of outdoor living space including a large back porch with marsh views and a dock, this is coastal living at its best.
