The owners of this lovely 1960s ranch home were over living with an out of date and awkward kitchen, so they enlisted our help to bring their dream kitchen to life. Right off the bat we all agreed that is was best to keep with the era of the home with a sleek modern kitchen featuring slab door cabinets. Our clients also wanted to space to feel brighter and more spacious with room for entertaining friends and family. So we knocked down a wall, filled in an unused door, and shortened a window so we could wrap this kitchen and create an optimal working triangle. We selected a maple cabinet with a medium-light stain, a light neutral porcelain floor tile, bright white glass backsplash with a mid-mod feature tile, and a variety of lighting. To create a space perfect for entertaining, we added a small peninsula for barstool seating. Behind the cabinet doors and drawers are many storage features including a double bin pull-out trash can, full access roll-out trays, pull out base cabinet pantry, super-susan corner cabinet, a wall cabinet for the microwave, and a pantry/fridge enclosure with roll-out trays. The sunroom received a facelift that covered the exterior brick to hide the modifications of walling up a door and raising the window sill height. It also created the sense that this space is an extension of the home, not just an exterior sunroom. We addressed the awkward step into the sunroom and installed new tile flooring. We finished the space of with a warm gray paint and soft sheers. This was such a fun and exciting project!! Cheers to our lovely clients and their gorgeous new kitchen and sunroom.

The clients called me in to help with finishing details on their kitchen remodel. They had already decided to do a lot of the work themselves and also decided on a cabinet company. I came into the project early enough to see a better layout to the original kitchen, then i was able to give my clients better options to choose from on the flow and aesthetics of the space. They already had an existing island but no sink, the refrigerator was an awkward walk away from the work space. We panned with everything moving and a much better flow was created, more storage than needed..that's always a good problem to have! Multiple storage drawers under the range, roll out trash, appliance garage for the coffee maker and much more. This was my first time working with non custom cabinets, it turned out wonderful with all the bells and whistles a dream kitchen should have.

This kitchen was designed to function around a large family. The owners spend their weekend prepping large meals with extended family, so we gave them as much countertop space to prep and cook as we could. Tall cabinets, a secondary banks of drawers, and a bar area, were placed to the connecting space from the kitchen to the dining room for additional storage. Finally, a light wood and selective accents were chosen to give the space a light and airy feel.

In this kitchen, we installed on the dry bar: Medallion Platinum series, cherry wood, Newcastle and Dana Pointe with reverse raised panels, Cappuccino with Burnt Sienna Glaze and Highlights cabinets; on the Island: Medallion Gold Series, maple wood, Luxley Flat Panel painted White Icing cabinets and on the kitchen perimeter: Medallion Gold Series, maple wood, flat panel with Eagle Rock Stain Sable Glaze and Highlights. The countertop is Bianco Libertina Granite with eased edge. For the backsplash Articulo Wave 6 x 18 field tile in Editorial White was installed and Tide Cascading Waters glass backdrop on island backsplash. Brio LED lights and Wiliamette 32” chandelier in oiled rubbed bronze over the dinette table. A Blanco Performa sink in Truffle, Moen Align faucet and Liton dispenser in spot resistant stainless.

Lyndsey Kampen- Kitchen Designer Wisconsin Building Supply, Onalaska, WI Spice pull out. The St. Augustine door style from Dura Supreme cabinetry transformed this kitchen into a warm inviting gathering place for friends and family. Storage was a top priority for this small kitchen, therefore many of the cabinets offer a hidden storage gem- two tiered wood cutlery tray, base recycle cabinet, tray divider, base swing up mixer shelf, roll out shelves a tall pantry and a lazy susan. The peninsula offers seating for two and allows guests to visit with the chef. Luxury vinyl tile was used on the floor and a Wilsonart HD Laminate countertop in Summer Carnival with a stainless steel under-mount sink amps up the high end feel without breaking the bank especially when topped off with the applied edge profile that allowed all sides of the peninsula to be receive that beautiful cascade edge.

Located on a picturesque setting on Lake Minnetonka, this lakefront home masterfully balances contemporary and traditional sentiments, striving not to design to either extreme. With team collaboration intentions to combine both form and function — and an eye on simple, beautiful and comfortable solutions, this relaxed elegant design approach honors lakeside living that permeates the residence. This Streeter home also blends in beautifully with surrounding classic lake homes that are reminiscent of timeless architecture and craftsmanship found in Europe and Nantucket.
