Extensive Kitchen, living area remodel complete! There was a lot of demo, reframing and rearranging involved in this beautiful remodel to get it to it’s final result. We first had to remove every surface including several walls to open up the Kitchen to the living room and what is now a bar area where our clients can relax, play pool and watch TV. Off the Kitchen is a new laundry with extra storage and countertop space. In removing the walls in the kitchen, we were able to create a large island, move the appliances around and created a new open concept living space. The cabinets in the bar area, laundry and Kitchen perimeter are a white shaker style cabinet with the Island being a separate beautiful Grey color. All of the cabinets were topped with a gorgeous Vittoria white quartz countertop. The Kitchen was then completed with the stand out Grey Glazed Brick backsplash. Finally, the flooring! The home was also updated with a new 12x48 Aequa Tur wood look tile. We created a custom design with this tile at the entry way and transitioned between rooms with a soldier pattern. Gorgeous new Butler's Pantry replaced an outdated seating area too small for more than two people. Counter is metal shavings in acrylic that wears as well as any solid surface. A small wall was removed (and electrical controls relocated) so the Butler’s Pantry could be added in place of the folding tables to assist with storage issues and give an interesting piece of “furniture” look with pin-striping.Photography by DM Photography, Houston

Original brick was retained and restored in this historic home circa 1794 located on Charleston's Peninsula South of Broad. This project started with wanting a bigger kitchen and a more open floor plan but it turned into a total redesign of the space. By moving the laundry upstairs, we incorporated the old laundry room space into the new kitchen. Removing walls, enlarging openings between rooms, and redesigning the foyer coat closet and kitchen pantry a new space was born. With the new open floor plan, the cabinetry design window layout needed to change as well. An original laundry room window was framed in and re-bricked on the exterior, a large picture window was added to the new kitchen design- adding tons of light as well as great views of the clients backyard and pool area. The dining room window was changed to accommodate new cabinetry. The new kitchen design in Fabuwood Cabinetry’s Galaxy Frost hosts a large island for plenty of prep space and seating for the kids. The dining room has a huge new buffet / dry bar with tiled wall and open shelves. Black Pearl Leathered granite countertops and marble tile backsplash top off the space. What a transformation! There are really to many details to mention. Everything came together to create a terrific new space.
