This is a kitchen for a real cook and yet was a remodel that utilized existing space for economy in the remodel. The cabinets are simple, clean and the mahogany gives the design a special quality that was worth the price. The granite has great dimension and is set off by the matchstick splash. Accessories finish this very modern design.

This beautiful kitchen was designed by Cathy from our Nashua showroom. This transitional Showplace kitchen is in a newly constructed ADA home, designed specifically around the homeowners’ needs and disability. The kitchen design features a versatile, flat-panel door style with a medium matte finish and quartz countertops. The dual height island and special sink/stove aprons allow for a wheelchair to slide underneath with ease, which gives all members of the family a chance to participate in meal prep and socialization within the kitchen. Another special ADA feature is a special wall oven that opens side to side instead of up and down, allowing easier access for anyone in a wheelchair. Other special features include decorative glass doors, plate organizer drawer, crown molding that fades into the wall, and a wood hood. An absolutely beautiful home with all the features needed to assist the homeowner with everyday life. A San Francisco family bought a house they hoped would meet the needs of a modern city family. However, the tiny and dark 50 square foot galley kitchen prevented the family from gathering together and entertaining. Ted Pratt, principal of MTP Architects, understood what the family’s needs and started brainstorming. Adjacent to the kitchen was a breakfast nook and an enclosed patio. MTP Architects saw a simple solution. By knocking down the wall separating the kitchen from the breakfast nook and the patio, MTP Architects was able to maximize the kitchen space for the family as well as improve the kitchen to dining room adjacency. The contemporary interpretation of a San Francisco kitchen blends well with the period detailing of this 1920's home. In order to capture natural light, MTP Architects choose overhead skylights, which animates the simple, yet rich materials. The modern family now has a space to eat, laugh and play.

This kitchen was refaced with cherry wood in two different stains. The island has an espresso stain, and the kitchen around it has a more traditional cherry color on its doors and veneer. The raised center panels on the doors and the crown moulding combine for a traditional look. The sinks have two tip out trays for added functionality.
