A busy family of 5 needed a new space for entertaining. The layout proved functional, and with an easy switch of the range and seating areas, a kitchen for entertaining was made. A built in 48" range with a griddle top allows for plenty of space for cooking in the large 10' x 5' island, topped with Taj Mahal Quartzite. Behind the range are fridge and freezer towers, flanked by mirrored pantries that hold everything from spices to canned goods. A large 42" undermount sink spans the breadth of the window that overlooks the canyon beyond. A mirrored hutch balances the side where new French doors open out onto a herb garden. A dry bar matches the cabinetry and increases the space in the grand great room.

This beautiful lakefront New Jersey home is replete with exquisite design. The sprawling living area flaunts super comfortable seating that can accommodate large family gatherings while the stonework fireplace wall inspired the color palette. The game room is all about practical and functionality, while the master suite displays all things luxe. The fabrics and upholstery are from high-end showrooms like Christian Liaigre, Ralph Pucci, Holly Hunt, and Dennis Miller. Lastly, the gorgeous art around the house has been hand-selected for specific rooms and to suit specific moods. This 4th floor Terrace remodel included a small outdoor Kitchen, full-size Bathroom and an outdoor Living room, just steps away from the Jacuzzi and pool... We even included a television on a hydraulic lift with a 360-degree radius. Three fire-pots line the amazing vanishing edge pool which dangles above the Grotto below with water spilling over both sides. Glass lined side rails grace the accompanying bridges as the pathway connects to the front of the terrace… A sun-worshiper’s paradise! In the newly added Kitchen/Bar area, our use of metallic glazed natural stone pavers adds texture, depth and drama to the vertical surface while layering granite slabs, creates a rich looking countertop and foot rest to the bar. Modern barstools made of 100% recycled aluminum and a durable zinc plate patina finish, provides the perfect outdoor solution for this oceanfront Terrace.

Lack of symmetry in this angled, open floor plan kitchen was the key challenge. The L-shaped island, which I lined up with two of the walls, resolved the issue. The renewable Red Grandis Wood cabinets (eucalyptus) are finished in weathered gray along the perimeter and creamy white on the island. I provided layers of lighting, including the oversized drum chandelier above the table, which is enclosed on the bottom so that the bulbs are not visible. I also chose a branch chandlier above the island workspace and recessed can lights on the ceiling for whole-room illumination. Photo by Brian Gassel

This kitchen went from white washed oak with wallpaper to cherry modern and sophisticated. We took out the 2 islands and created one center island with counter seating areas. We replaced all of the cabinets with Waypoint cabinets in a rich cherry finish and topped them with Cambria Ella counter tops. The eye catching iridescent mosaic tile back splash finishes off the transitional look. We tied the open kitchen and living area together with the living room built-ins and a new fireplace surround. The area got new oak hardwood floors in a grey stain. We love how this kitchen and living room came to life with a total makeover! Bilotta Collection Cabinetry is a unique line of American-made custom cabinetry exclusively for Bilotta by their partner factory in PA. Made only with the highest quality materials available, Bilotta Collection Cabinetry is artistically built to satisfy their design team’s demanding specifications, to reflect meticulous attention to detail and to offer unique cutting-edge features that are exclusive to Bilotta. In the spring of 2018, Bilotta launched a brand-new design under their private collection line in their A&D Building showroom in Manhattan. Designed by Goran Savic, the display is a trendsetting mix of contrasting dark and light grainy rift cut white oak. The wall cabinets and hood enclosure are brilliant brass frames with ribbed glass inserts. The brass is then repeated in the open shelves, custom Armac Martin hardware, and as the inlay in the textured Bianco Carrara backsplash by Artistic Tile. Cabinet interiors and drawer boxes are a repeat of the lighter color oak and the countertops are polished Dark Orobico Arabescato marble also by Artistic Tile. The sink and faucet are by The Galley Workstation and The Galley Tap creating the ideal space for any aspiring chef.
