We removed the long wall of mirrors and moved the tub into the empty space at the left end of the vanity. We replaced the carpet with a beautiful and durable Luxury Vinyl Plank. We simply refaced the double vanity with a shaker style.

This upstairs bath remodel was designed by Nicole from our Windham showroom. This bath features Cabico Essence vanity with Maple wood, Cartago (raised panel) door style and Columbia (Dark Brown) stain finish. This remodel also features LG Viatera Quartz countertop with Aria color and ¼ bevel edge. The bathroom floor is 16” x 16” Alterna Gistine Bisque and the tub tile wall is 24” x 24” Mediterranea Marmol Café honed. Other features include Sterling (By Kohler) tub in a biscuit color, Kohler ligh fixture in Oil rubbed bronze, Kohler shower trim in Oiul rubbed bronze, Kohler shower trim in Oil rubbed bronze and Kohler toilet in biscuit. The vanity hardware was from Amerock; both handles and knobs are in Satin Nickel.

When an old neighbor referred us to a new construction home built in my old stomping grounds I was excited. First, close to home. Second it was the EXACT same floor plan as the last house I built. We had a local contractor, Curt Schmitz sign on to do the construction and went to work on layout and addressing their wants, needs, and wishes for the space. Since they had a fireplace upstairs they did not want one in the basement. This gave us the opportunity for a whole wall of built-ins with Smart Source for major storage and display. We also did a bar area that turned out perfectly. The space also had a space room we dedicated to a workout space with a barn door. This Hartland, Wisconsin basement is a welcoming teen hangout area and family space. The design blends both rustic and transitional finishes to make the space feel cozy. This space has it all – a bar, kitchenette, lounge area, full bathroom, game area and hidden mechanical/storage space. There is plenty of space for hosting parties and family movie nights. Highlights of this Hartland basement remodel: - We tied the space together with barnwood: an accent wall, beams and sliding door - The staircase was opened at the bottom and is now a feature of the room - Adjacent to the bar is a cozy lounge seating area for watching movies and relaxing - The bar features dark stained cabinetry and creamy beige quartz counters - Guests can sit at the bar or the counter overlooking the lounge area - The full bathroom features a Kohler Choreograph shower surround

The Cabinetry and Tile Studio

The dominant color was to be white so any accent color could be used for an easy design update. Starmark Cabinetry was used for the vanity, storage wall and the custom recessed double medicine cabinet. Our client chose white, maple in the Bridgeport door style with a Vicostone quartz white polished countertop. The shower has Daltile Florentine, Carrara wall tile 12”x24” with a 4” accent of Circuit Mosaic Presto and Uptown Glass Carrara Mosaic for the floor. A rain can Bluetooth speaker shower head, hand-held shower head, three body sprays are controlled with a 3/6 function diverter valve. Seating is a teak, fold-down seat. This bath also features Victorian faucets in satin nickel to go with the frosted white vessel sinks and Gem vanity lights. A comfort height toilet and bidet were included in the double pocket door toilet area.

We completely remodeled the shower and tub area, adding the same 6"x 6" subway tile throughout, and on the side of the tub. We added a shower niche. We painted the bathroom. We added an infinity glass door. We switched out all the shower and tub hardware for brass, and we re-glazed the tub as well.

トランジショナルスタイルの浴室リフォームのデザイン、レイアウト、費用

浴室リフォームの技法には大きく分けて「在来工法」と「ユニットバス (システムバス)」の2通りがあります。

在来工法：「在来工法」とは、壁、床、窓枠、浴槽などを実際の現場で左官、大工、タイル職人等が作り上げていく技法で、浴室の大きさや形に合わせて自由にレイアウトをデザインできたり、趣のあるタイルで壁を演出することができたりといった点が利点と言えます。昔ながらのこの技法には、費用が高い、工期が長い、年数が経つと水漏れの心配がある、などの注意点があります。
ユニットバス（システムバス）：比較的新しいこの技法は、予め工場で生産されたパーツ (壁、バスタブ、シャワーユニットなど) を現場で組み立てていく技法で、防水性、断熱性に優れ、工期を短縮できるだけでなく、費用も大幅に抑えることができます。在来工法と比べると、デザインやレイアウトの自由度が低い点が欠点としてあげられます。

浴室にプラスアルファでお風呂タイムをもっと楽しく

介護が必要な方には、浴室に浴槽手すりやシャワーチェア、すべり止めマットなどの安全グッズを使って、癒やしの時間を安全にゆっくりと楽しんでもらいましょう。浴室に床暖房を取り入れると、冬場のあのヒンヤリ感がなくなり、ヒートショックの防止に効果が期待できます。大粒のお湯が頭上から降り注ぐように全身を包み込むレインシャワー水栓は、効率的に身体を温めてくれます。また最近では、浴室テレビを装備して、あたたかいお湯に浸かりながらテレビ番組や映画を楽しむ方も増えています。ライフスタイルにあわせて、浴室をカスタマイズしてみてはいかがでしょうか？

ラクラク片付け、快適な浴室！

シャンプーやコンディショナーのボトルや、浴槽洗いのブラシは、ワイヤーラック、つっぱりコーナーラック、吸盤シェルフなど壁面収納グッズを活用して、浴室の使いやすい場所に設置しましょう。ボディスポンジなど、肌に触れるものはお掃除グッズから離れた場所に置き、しっかり水切りができるよう吸盤フックなどにかけるといいでしょう。また、浴室内には必要なアイテムだけをセレクトして置き、余分なモノは浴室外の脱衣所の棚に保管するなどの工夫も、お風呂場を清潔に保つコツです。風呂ふたも、フックやスタンド等を使って収納し、しっかり乾燥させれば、カビやぬめりの発生を防ぐことができます。

ホテルのようなバスルームをつくるコツ

ホテルライクなバスルームに誰しもが憧れたことがあるでしょう。すっきりとした収納、余計なものやプライベート感がない、トイレとバスが一緒の三点ユニットでも清潔感があるのがホテルのバスルームの特徴です。このようなシンプルな印象のバスルームにするコツは、収納をできるかぎり1カ所にまとめるということです。タオルや着替え、トイレットペーパーや洗剤など溢れがち (しかもバスルームに置きがち) な日用品のストックは、必要分だけをコンパクトに整理して、同素材や同系色の収納ボックスやラックにまとめることで、全体を統一感ある印象に見せます。ところで、このようなホテルライクなバスルームはアメリカのバスルームが元になっていますが、アメリカの Houzz サイトの特集記事 (Story) には、“Bathroom 1 1/2” や “Bathroom 3/4” などと表記されているものがあります。これは、バスルームを「バスタブ」、「シャワー」、「トイレ」、「洗面台」の4つ分けて、それぞれ 1/4 と考え、4つすべてある場合は ”Bathroom 1”、それに加えてトイレと洗面台がもう1カ所ずつある場合は “Bathroom 1 1/2”、シャワー、トイレ、洗面台だけでバスタブがない場合は “Bathroom 3/4” のように表現されます。
