This European kitchen has several different areas and functions. Each area has its own specific details but are tied together with distinctive farmhouse feel, created by combining medium wood and white cabinetry, different styles of cabinetry, mixed metals, warm, earth toned tile floors, blue granite countertops and a subtle blue and white backsplash. The hand-hammered copper counter on the peninsula ties in with the hammered copper farmhouse sink. The blue azul granite countertops have a deep layer of texture and beautifully play off the blue and white Italian tile backsplash and accent wall. The high gloss black hood was custom-made and has chrome banding. The French Lacanche stove has soft gold controls. This kitchen also has radiant heat under its earth toned limestone floors. A special feature of this kitchen is the wood burning stove. Part of the original 1904 house, we repainted it and set it on a platform. We made the platform a cohesive part of the space defining wall by using a herringbone pattern trim, fluted porcelain tile and crown moulding with roping. The office area’s built in desk and cabinets provide a convenient work and storage space. Topping the room off is a coffered ceiling. In this classic English Tudor home located in Penn Valley, PA, we renovated the kitchen, mudroom, deck, patio, and the exterior walkways and driveway. The European kitchen features high end finishes and appliances, and heated floors for year-round comfort! The outdoor areas are spacious and inviting. The open trellis over the hot tub provides just the right amount of shelter. These clients were referred to us by their architect, and we had a great time working with them to mix classic European styles in with contemporary, current spaces. This kitchen features an overmantel and AGA as well as a built under Siemans convection oven for a combination of practicality and style. The cabinet nearest to the sink also features bi - fold pocket doors to house kettle, toaster and microwave combo oven. A classic farmhouse kitchen with warm tumbled stone flooring. An AGA range cooker with exposed flu add to the rustic function over form styling. Our customer was keen to not have any wall units to increase light and maintain a sense of space. As a result, clever storage solutions were required such as a worktop standing bi-fold dresser, a larder in the original fireplace/hearth aperture, a free standing dresser with full stave lacquered oak worktop and a free standing american fridge freezer framed either side with larder towers.

Our light grey Open Plan kitchen brings a traditional design into the modern age. The bespoke, hand-painted cabinetry with carefully crafted curves gives the impression of lightness. This elegant design technique combined with a soft, contemporary colour scheme, encourages the natural movement of light throughout the room. Beautiful worktops flow seamlessly in a subtle ‘U’ shape from cooking area to island providing plenty of space to prepare food. A curved breakfast table separates dining space from work space in a contemporary manner that is a signature of Tom Howley design.

The butler's pantry floors are made of reclaimed French limestone in a random pattern that evokes a worn and aged patina when coupled with the pecky cypress wood ceilings. The kitchen and butler's pantry were one of the first installations in the United States using cabinetry by Promemoria of Milan. The beautiful Promemoria modern cabinet details and finishes juxtapose nicely with the aged finishes and give the rooms a fresh contemporary look.
